Official Hardcode Prestige Mode

Call of Duty like Prestige Mode but on Classic servers, add a buff people can see like the Soul of Iron but different icons/stacks for each time a person have restarted from 60 on that character. The restart is an optional reset only available on after reaching 60.

So your prestige goes up the more you die?

Like in COD it’s only available after reaching max level and the only reason you do it is to flex on others with a cool badge(in this case buff).

How you restart form 60 on same character?

So you flex how much you restarted (somehow), in other words died?

What a weird concept.

I guess he wants reset every time he reaches lvl 60 to lvl 1 and getting a new badge for it. The real Hardcore will be killing Kel’Thuzed having only one life and this isn’t what solo self proclaimed boar killing champions are being able to alone, so suggestions like this one are born.

He meant that you level up to 60 the reset and you a buff of some sort which show you’ve already gotten 60 once.

Classic HC is all about the journey and this way it never ends for your favorite char  + you get to flex with how degen you are.

This isn’t something that’s in the plans for now, but the team is aware some players would like this and will keep it in mind for the future!

This thread gets a blue response but the videos of a million unbanned bots just get glossed over?

Nice

Sounds terrible for me. If I reach level 60 I’ll retire character and roll new. Not miss progress. He’ll have keepsakes from whole journey. NEVER delete him!

Dear Blizzard,
Tyrskorn’s forum account got hacked.
There literally is no other explanation when a blue answers to a post in EU forums.
Sincerely,
An alerted user

It’s cool to see that community feedback is noted and seen. I am always a bit tinfoil-hat, that Tyrskorn is a chatBot - but hey, that is a lot of tinfoil even for my head.

I prefer to believe it is an actual CM that tries their best to take part in the community on the forum. Someone that cares. I feel it is very important to stress, I and probably the majority really do appreciate that :dracthyr_heart:

Always a good feels to be seen and heard :dracthyr_comfy_black: :dracthyr_comfy_red: :dracthyr_comfy_bronze: :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

So you get a +1 everytime you reach 60.

To me hardcore is a leveling challenge, so I kinda like this idea, shouldn’t be to hard to implement.

Edit:
Maybe this score/buff should be realm/account wide so you may play different classes.

If this was a challenge, I could also have it rotate your starting spot. You chose your character, you get to level 60 as per usual. At dinging level 60, you get a question prompt if you want to continue your story at level 60, or, if you want to get reverted back to level 1 and to the next starting levelling zone in your rotation. Once you done your full 1-60 rotation through all the starting zones, you can get an achievement in addition to your prestige points. At this point you also get perhaps a tabard, to show off and as a keepsake if your character should be forced through death to the normal classic server.

After the achievement is completed, the following ‘resets’ will give your character a stack of prestige. Maybe even a title that counts it, if tech allows it, call it “the 1st (2nd, 3rd, 4th, 50th, 100th) of their name” as an example. This to really hammer prestige into it. If your character should meet their end, you get to keep the title on the classic normal realm continuance, as both a mark of pride and shame - depending on how you look at it.

The options here are actually fun to think about. Perhaps it will come later into Hardcore’s mode if it becomes popular enough!

My guess is that OP mentioned Call of Duty in his post

I cant believe you respond to this completely cursory topic but completely ignore all the posts begging you to look into the ERA Bot infestation that is killing your game

Starting zones are meant to be save heavens for new begginers. There is nothing challenging in starting from another one if you repeat the same rested EXP route over and over again. The problem is that WoW, outside of grinding and dungeon spam, has like 3 unique questing paths, but even then you need to do some common quests shared across all runs.

:open_mouth: You guys read classic forums???

Because people buy the gold the bots make, which make this a self inflicted wound by players themself.
