Hazzikostas is aware of the parallels to Garrosh’s story, and he says that the Horde is too.
“There are a couple of references here and there,” he says. “There are more coming. Members of the Horde leadership will remember going down dark paths before.”
He also notes that Garrosh’s motives were different; they were an attempt to restore a lost vision of the Horde at the expense of everything else. Sylvanas’ goals are still unclear, but Hazzikostas notes, “There will not be a trial where she is in chains. Sylvanas is not a character who would find herself in that situation … ever.
I read it in the original german version, i nearly died when he said that Azshara will play a role in the faction conflict ant there is a twist coming we don’t expect…
Azshara is a narcissistic sorcerer with powers comparable to Archimonde and Kil’jaedan. We already defeated the other 2, so I don’t see why we can’t beat her
She won’t, she will be redeemed! and Azshara helps her, she wasn’t evil all along and only wanted to protect Azeroth from the Void… and she used N’zoth to achieve this like Illidan used demonpowers to fight the Legion!
You know, it is kinda sad that Blizzard has brought its community to such a state that people are legitimately dreading and cringing and cowering because we don’t know what stupid crap is gonna hit us in the head next.
Like, no one is excited, we are just waiting for the slap.
I really don’t understand why they are commenting on the future direction of the story at all, if they think twists and surprises are so great… Especially when most of the comments they make about that will land on the trashheap anyway, and be interpreted as outright lies by the uncharitable.
The promises they make make the disappointment so much worse, when they don’t pay off.
If you read the full interview, they will be causing a shakedown in the Alliance soon, most likely Tyrande vs Anduin.
If they turn Sylvanas into an Illidan/Kerrigan…I can’t I just can’t handle or accept that !
“For players, they’ve spent months dealing with the burden of Darnassus. For characters like Tauren druids, or Blood Elf paladins, this can feel like an overwhelming loss of agency. Many Horde players are also concerned because a similar tale played out two expansions ago in Mists of Pandaria, with Garrosh Hellscream. For these players, the second corrupt Warchief in under five years might suggest that the Horde they have been playing under for a decade or more is broken, and not worth defending.”
Beyond Lor’themar’s chatter text, this is the only thing that really confirms that the Horde under Windrunner has arguably been falling apart since Teldrassil.
