as my gaming time is up this month i’m stopping this buggy thing called Dragonflight.
I just remembered the years when I played on the free servers and at any moment the game could crash or disconnect. Not being able to rely on what is written on the skill/update and having to test what exactly will happen if you learn it.
When will we have real flying?
I’ll start with the first very annoying system in this expansion – Dragonriding.
The first 10 hours is fun and then it starts to annoy you a little until you start gathering flowers and mines and most of the time you don’t fly but walk on the ground. Yes, it is much faster to move with it (in most situations), but it is completely inadequate when collecting resources. Especially for druids. It’s like driving an F1 car in a city.
Not to mention that it forces you to fly the same ugly dragons (not just my opinion) instead of using the hard collected mounts - for God’s sake I bought the collector’s edition because of the beautiful Tangled Dreamweaver mount that I still can’t use in this expansion.
In addition, I have to unstuck my character 8-10 times a week because he got stuck somewhere and the game disconnects when entering. Most often happens when taking off or suddenly changing direction with the buggy dragon mounts. I even bookmarked it for a quick unstuck: https://eu.battle.net/support/en/help/product/wow/197/834/solution
I suggest that you also let the real flying go and everyone has a choice of how to fly and what to fly on.
It wouldn’t hurt to add an unstuck button to the character selection menu.
When are you going to stop complicating the systems in the game?
The second dysfunctional system is the professions.
It wouldn’t hurt to hire QA specialists to test the new systems to see if they work properly, especially those where the points can’t be restarted. For example, Conversance isn’t working properly, or at least as I understand it should be. Before maxing it out I had a much larger drop of plant-based monsters than after maxing it out.
I don’t know why the flowers and mines have quality. In the AH, they are at the same price, and sometimes even the bronze ones are more expensive than the silver ones, there is something very wrong here. There is no point in improving the quality of the resources, even if there is an opportunity, I would make it worse because the silver ones are much more profitable than the gold resources.
Mines everywhere. Mines in the air, mines in the rocks , unreachable mines and unlootable mines.
It’s not fun!
The last annoying stupidity is the PVP area, the one with the skill bubbles. Yesterday, a demon hunter ran at 200% speed in a circle and killed everything in one hit. It was almost impossible to enter the arena let alone do the quest. It’s such nonsense that few people can come up with … respect Blizzard.
I only really agree with recently added dragons like the dreamweaver but also the DK starter zone protodrake should become full transformations and Blizzard could use more inhouse Q&A
Everything else I simply disagree with, I also don’t get the complaint about quality of reagents and the prices there of; this is entirely player driven and the state of higher quality slowly becoming as cheap/cheaper as lower quality reagents is very easily explainable because as time goes on Q3 materials will simply become the norm which means that there will be more undercutting on q3 quality reagents because there are more q3 quality reagents which can easily push it to as cheap as or cheaper then Q2
Again entirely player driven, Blizzard shouldn’t intervene in this.
That said the only real issues I find with the new profession system is the limitations of public work orders and the availability of primal chaos on your alts compared to your main.
You know what. Yes, I like it. It adds to my immersion. I’m sure one of the 200 accessibility features WoW has lets you mitigate or disable it.
I’m just really tired of people holding back any improvement of the game because it’s 1.0 version is causing them mild discomfort.
They added a better mechanic and fixed the problem at the same time.
That’s two birds in one stone!
Rip birds.
Also, this “flickering” is a setting added next week you can disable.
There you go, you can now play the game and have no more reason to complain!
Woohooo!
Okay, so crafting mats, put a few personal orders with your creation sparks, and would like to have your name
Nice name and could worth a few gold on the name-market
Good luck in area 1 and 4 I am trying since i get motion sickness from dragonriding, but these 2 area’s are a no go. DF is designed with flying in mind
imagine the uproar if they give possibility to use normal mounts: noone could arrive in time to kill elites b4 the dflyers kill em.
I need to spare a lot of popcorn just in case.
The only solution against bots is to make content non-bottable.
It’s a million miles from a flight sim. The original devmode/spectator mode flying should never have been part of the game.
I have a feeling the new flying’s control doesn’t break the game for anyone, they just don’t want to feel being at a disadvantage to better players.
