I think the reason they haven’t merged them, is because the Merge would be one-sided. Velfs would get a lot of new hairstyles, while none of theirs can be given to Belfs, as they have weird void tentacles n’ stuff.

There’s a new high elf thread every 10 minutes on this forum, and has been since at least Legion. Perhaps it’s time to accept they aren’t coming.

More like the Addiction is Sated. You are still very much addicted to Mana, but you got your font of power back 
Both High Elves and Blood Elves are addicted to mana, as they’re the same race. Difference is that the Blood Elves primarily used Fel, until they got the Sunwell back, at which point they could go back to using Arcane / Holy from that. But they are always mana addicts, it’s just a question of where they get their fix 
At this point the Blood Elves are bascially back to being High Elves, but they still use the Blood Elves name, as it’s a way of honoring their fallen kin. Which was their whole reason for changing their name in the first place too.

tongue in cheek aside I wouldn’t be against it if the velf hairstyles get devoided first (if they weren’t already for helf customizations)

I agree honestly with Blizzards stance.
The Bloodelves have been the High Elves all along. They evolved, changed allegiance and are never going to be part of Alliance again.
Simple as that.
And imma gonna be honest… If Blizzard would have given the Man’ari skins as an allied race to the Horde, I wouldn’t have been mad either.

Just add them as an allied race in midnight. Have us find a long lost tribe hidden away like suramar. I cant even begin to imagine the outrage if we get to last titan without them. Itll be beautiful
Make one group - Thallassian Elf
Make suboption while creating:
- picking Alliance will give you option to create void infused elf (Ren’dorei) or High Elf (Quel’dorei)
- picking Horde will give you option to create blood elf (Sin’dorei) or High Elf (Quel’dorei)
Make new racial for Quel’dorei. It would make sense to have same racial on the Horde, but for Alliance that’s a no.
Make all customization available for all sub option (Horde and Alliance, void vs blood vs high)
Instead of creating whole new allied race, that would be most likely the acceptable approach by player base.
