Ok, no High Elf as allied race

I full heartedly disagree with both these takes full stop, to be honest. If things were up to me there would be more separation of factions (non game mechanical crossfaction grouping is good for the game) and all classes to all races would simply not even be a thing (but it obviously isnt, but know this is a hill for me to die on, my mind is unlikely to be changed on this)

I am happy with the narrative status quo of both blood elves and high elves, I think their dynamic and the inherent tragedy to their split super interesting and one of the cooler narrative elements of wow.

As for the player characterism, I only immerse in RP, stopped being immersed in questing when questgivers became alliance for the most part. The PC is also for all intents and purposes, as dumb as a sack of bricks

Yet that applies equally across the board. For example, you discount Vulpera on the basis that ‘there are a few caravans’ yet the reality is they are probably plentiful in 'conceptual Vol’Dun (conceptual Vol’dun would be the Vol’dun as it is actually is in the mind’s eye, not compacted for game purposes).

I am afraid you don’t get to argue thatthe representation of Alliance High Elves is an undercount because of how they are represented in game while at the same time arguing that every other race is paltry because of how they are represented in that same game.

End result is actually proportional. The in game representation is proportional to what its conceptional representation would be, which still ends up with Alliance High Elves being almost entirely wiped out and any representation being the same few Elves showing up at different times. Which is why the claim of there being ‘multiple settlements’ is grasping. You can’t have the same people in five separate places at the same time.

This Silverglade refuge in fact is probably where what remains of the Silver Covenant has now gone given Dalaran is off the table. So they have ONE settlement now. And it is tiny. And we don’t know who is going to be there, there maybe representatives of core Alliance races besides the Alliance High Elves.

We’re talking about playable races, not NPC races.

All Blood Elves were High Elves. Not all High Elves are Blood Elves.

Yeah they are not playable hence why people ask for High Elf allied race.

Keep up.

I’m not moving the goal post. I am speaking of the playable race, as by Blizzards official definition, them being the former High Elves.

That’s why Void Elves have those customization options.

People really should stop expecting special treatment at every turn in such a big game with so many different target audiences.

Former.

We want the current.

Void elves are exiled Blood Elves.
Again not High Elves.

And you should stop gatekeeping such a big game with such varied audiences.

Why are you so hellbent on having the same racials as blood elves but with a tooltip stating “High Elf” on Alliance side, instead of just playing a Void elf instead?

It’s honestly, so annoying. Reminds me of some kids in the supermarket annoying their parents because they want something sweet but oh no, don’t dare give them anything else but the very specific thing they eyed in a corner on a shelf that looks outright unhealthy.

It’s literally the very, -blam!- same crybaby mentality at this point.

Your assumptions not my words or even what HE fans want

Right back at ya buddy.

Almost self aware.

Good talk and good day.

The truth is

Blood elves act more like former high elves who built Quel thalas than actual high elves

Quel dorei like to use and take benefits from magic. They are addicted and build everything with and make food etc.

All the Quel’dorei lifestyle is about using magic.

Actual high elves dont fit with that, by living in meditations and magic starvation

Another proof that BE are the real HE.
The real sect is the actual alliance HE
A sect where the majority of members are in a
terrorist group called The Silver Covenant led by a Windrunner guru called Vereesa who spreads hate and will to kill is own brothers and sisters for having political differences.

And its another checkmate from gaby to HE fanatics.

I disagree on the misconception that Alliance High Elves use meditation and draining artifacts. They did that when the Sunwell was corrupted and destroyed, but when the Sunwell was restored it was restored for all.

Why would they bother?

True and its why i said last days before its not possible to add playable HE now

There is zero differences between an alliance high elf and a sin dorei

High elves are allowed to do pilgrinage to the Sunwell.

→ we can imagine for practical lifestyle an alliance HE will go 1x per week or 2-3 time per month to the sunwell for feed the magical thirst

And technically the alliance high elf can go to the sunwell everyday by shattrath to quel danas.

So every sin dorei racial skills fit 10000% to high elves.

Blizzard will not copy past a race with no differences. Just because of political differences. Especially now with cross faction guild feature

And there is… no biological and magic use differences between BE and HE.

All of these fanatics focus on “why” we must add playable HE

Reality is : the question is “How” and there is no answer to that cause we are all the same

Ironicaly VE are different and are void entities, void using etc… and have for sense to be there in the game than HE

HE fanatics you can thanks your void elves partners. Because of their existence your ll be never in the game (playable)

And the peak of the irony will be in midnight where BE and HE are all gonna be closed each other and with the sunwell. Showing by fact that… again… there is zero major difference that justifies the adding of playable HE

Only one question to end the debate :

Why blizzard should give different racial skills to High Elves? (In 2025-26 tww-midnight)

They can’t so BE and HE are fully the same then there is no reason to add them

New Horde allied race: Republican Humans. Humans who have rejected monarchy and seek the Horde’s help in establishing a Stormwind Republic.

Have a strong lore background due to that one guy in the pub who wouldn’t stop going on about the rights of the people and the iniquities of the ruling class and who counts all the years under the monarchy as part of his background too.

I dont want humans in our ranks, magister.

These humans give me the creeps

The only humans allowed in orgrimmar are heads and meatballs in trolls dishes

I know, it is more to illustrate the absurdity of what we are debating, wherein thousands of pages of argument have been typed to prove that the Alliance High Elves have a greater difference than the Blood Elves than simply a difference of opinion (they don’t).

I get you… Had the game put effort into actual segregation and “cultural identity”. Such as having people sharing wayward magic away their compatriots wishes getting punished if not executed.

That’s hardly been the case with WoW. Even with the arbitrary faction barriers, we and npc keeps going together to fight a common foe.

True, but I don’t mind the occasional team up. Warcraft is not just faction conflict, see WC3’s Hyjal campaign mission where human orc and nelf factions work together in an attempt to stop the Eredar (forgot if it was KJ or the other one)

Its just nowadays most of the conflict is external and existential, even in the rare few cases where factions interact with eachother outside of the context of a world ending threat, it is entirely co-operative (gilneas, belameth, arathi questline), there’s just been too much of it. Everyone has been defanged, no one is interesting anymore, everyone just preaches peace and tolerance, let alone that they have titles like trollbane

I need to stop myself before I break out into a rant about these 3 specific topics I mentioned.

I was honestly halfway suprised they recognized that blood elves and amani don’t like eachother during midnight so maybe things are going to change for the better in that sense as atleast conflict is being recognized again.
