Ok WTF is this Logout Timer now?

Well it already does? If i have the name BOB on retail and invite a player from another server called BOB we are both int he same party and are phased into the same world layer.

Yeah but the realm’s character list is not using the battletag system

The World Visit System allows you to travel freely between the Worlds in your data center.
The following guide describes how to use the World Visit System, introduced in Patch 4.57.

Stop trying to be that guy who has to try and prove me wrong because of your disbelieves. And focus on how f s blizzard is. Or are you a fanboy wanting to fight in blizzards corner? :stuck_out_tongue:

World visit system is more or less the same as crossrealm

I see all my friends playing despite being on classic, the friends list and bnet is integrated, look at the settings options in game. They just want your $20 transfer fee.

Well it’s just how it is and most people are okay with it I doubt they will put effort into removing something they can earn money on when most people don’t care much about it

Yes apart from you dont need to be in a group and its permanent even during logout until you go back manually. And classic doesn’t have cross realm

Yeah well the afk kick in this game is a joke.

I came back for Classic after playing Final Fantasy XIV for years which literally doesn’t have an afk logout and I forgot there even was one in WoW. I honestly question if its 30 minutes because it sure doesn’t feel like it.

I don’t believe in FFXIV they have as many people per server nor any queues

Implying retail servers were ever even close to full outside of about 5 of them.

FFXIV does get queues on expansion launches like WoW does and does give a 30 minute kick timer then. Why WoW has to always have it is beyond me.

Yes they’ve decreased it to 5min AFK tag and 10min kick. Customer support was hesitant but they’ve implied that depending on the server you’ll be kicked to the char screen or straight DC’d. Grace period was also decreased to only 30sec.

On FFXIV shadowbringers launch and a few weeks after there was plenty of queues. I even transferred to the brand new server (for free btw) on the data-centre i was on and after a few days there was queues there too.

Of course the max queue I ever saw was 1k, so compared to here baby times but you know :stuck_out_tongue:

But yeah I’ve noticed the afk timer too, I understand them decreasing it but I hope they put it back to how it was before before they changed it once things calm down. How is our friend gonna be able to go poop in peace without having to worry about getting logged out :’(

Are you any good with Lego?

Sometimes you have a lot you know lol.
Or sometimes you have stomach ache or something :stuck_out_tongue:

I get AFK DC’d every couple of hours without even getting AFK tag.
Please explain.

It’s against people usin scripts to jump. You get booted if you afk even without going afk if you are staying in a close proximity on 1 spot after 45 minutes

Would say that Blizz is randomly kicking people out to move queues a bit quicker. But that would only be the case if you are playing on full server with queues. The other may be that they are just random DCs.

That’s quite a long time to move your bowels, perhaps it would be worth speaking with your doctor, or perhaps adding more fibre to your diet.

We had a couple of random D/Cs last night when afk and cooking, so maybe it was something going on with servers at the time. On one occasion caught it quick enough to get back in without re-queue but not the other.

This will ruin the economy and the community.

I’m also on Shazzrah and had the same thing happening yesterday. Had to do some things around the house for an hour but didn’t want to face the 6 hour queue so came back to the PC every now and then to move my character.

10 mins after i last moved my character (at this time i was probably doing this for 30-45 mins) i saw i got disconnected, log back in, 12k queue, thanks Blizzard!
