Increasing the MMR is one thing. Which is okay I guess. People will get faster to their rewards and maybe play more fair matches.
However faster rating = you are quicker done. Me for example, I Farm the 1,8 with all classes and than only play 1-3 for the rest of the season. So if I can get 1,8 faster , there will be less healer, specially if others do it the same way.
A better solution would be to add more rewards. There are a lot of pvp items never added , like the obsidian elite sword or the wod crossbow. Add them as extra rewards.
Add old elite set tokens for 100 wins past 1,8 or 2,1. so we casuals have something more to farm, and 100 wins a set will keep people busy for a while, specially on multiple chars.
As someone who has ALOT of old elite setsâŚ. I donât care if Jimmy who started in DF can get them too. I had them for decades , and would prefer more player over prestige
Or just add more recolours, anything to make people grind Arena even on lower ranks
i agree but pls dont make it too easy to farm them, i feel like 1.8k would be way too low imagine seeing a dragonflight fury warrior running around with the optimus prime WoD elite set and glorious tyranny in both hands by hitting 1800 late season in solo shuffle, pls make these rewards a little bit harder to get and also only in 2s and 3s not shuffle
Old elite sets should never be handed out as participation trophies because it devalues the hard work that players did to earn it when they were told it was a time-limited reward.
Letâs be honest 100 wins at 1,8 is more hard work. Look at legion, you could get gear and 2k on a new class in a day or two. I remember making a hunter , no idea how to play, got it geared , got the elite and never played again.
And even if, participation for a game we can play is more worth some gear no one even uses anymore while sitting afk in lfg

I have never meet anyone who actually has a few old sets that thinks that way, and specially for the newer ones who are 1,8 instead of 2k, no one cares
He is not wrong, when you see for the tcg mount, it was really rare back in the day and since they give it on twitch people donât even use it cause it has lost the prestige.
But I kinda disagree with him as I think most of the very first glad has stop the game since a long time ago and only very few of them are still playing like raiku or swapxy or minpojkeâŚ
They could do it but make sure itâs not free, definitely would increase the participation (and unforch the boosting service :S)
Even tho i love the old sets and i never got em as I didnt pvp back then, they should never come back. Theres something cool about items you got and no one else can get anymore.
If everybody could get a Lamborghini for 10,000⏠tomorrow, then the people who owned Lamborghini cars for decades would no longer take pride in their car and theyâd feel pretty bad about how worthless and common it has become.
People like to feel special. Itâs not pretty but it is true.
If everyone could just pick up the CM gold sets from a vendor gold, I would never wear it again.
I care. Rewards are a massive carrot on a stick for me. Iâm a very visual person, and I love to look cute. When things become unobtainable, and took a bit of effort to get, I feel like that carries some level of weight and value also.
And there are also people out there who also love to brag. Yes, even in a video game. People do it IRL too, with fast expensive cars, and also discontinued vintage cars, clothes, and jewellery.
People do care. Whether you to or not is up to you, but people do care.
For the good and health of the game, we will remember your sacrifice of ( checks notes) not wearing something just to brag anymore.
Jokes aside, even if we ignore the part that makes the sweater sweat so much and rush to defend.
I feel like atleast giving out new recolour / the unused weapons ( yes even old UNUSED elite weapons ) is still a valid point to add some more reasons for people to keep playing even if they canât progress their rating directly.
Like for example the CM gears has 2 UNUSED recolour, they would probably bring even pve player to play pvp.
Or would it to horrifying for you to share the same item MODELS in different colours with others ?
Destroying the game by asking to add unused items ? Improving the game would be removing rewards than ? No more elite sets, no more enchant , no more mounts ?
