You did not “prove that a character did earn the requirements”. If you would have, you would have gotten the set.
Let me put it this way: Lets assume you got to High Warlord in Vanilla. Before any achievements and what not. You got your Warlord set. You sold your set in TBC.
Turns out that there is a track left behind. Achievements, reputations, ect… And today, you CAN buy the set once again. IF you have the High Warlord achievement.
In TBC there were no special “pvp sets”. And since WotlK you have the Achevement system, it tracks what rating you got since then and you can buy them if you have the required achievement.
Therefore, if you cant buy the complete set it means that you did not reach whatever requirements you needed to achieve at the time. I know, because I have been to the PvP vendors of specific sets I like.
Then hopefully you get banned for wasting their time. There comes a time when a supplier should just decide a customer isn’t worth the trouble and cut them loose.
Reopening a ticket to re-litigate matters they can’t help with is just childish / odd / really frickin irrirating.
Heres an image, and also would link you to my character’s armory but it is againt the comunity rules yada yada
With little research you will see its requirements, and how having that piece is equal to having every piece.
You can buy the items or obtain them in the game. In TBC, you can get with no issue any S1 S2 S3 S4 item, they even added S4 for DKs lol.
WotLK didn’t had any elite aside from weapons or tabards. Sets are obtainable nowadays, not tabards or elite weapons.
In cataclysm however, they added recolor to elite pieces, which comes to the subject of this forum.
This is untrue, I remit to my case; how would I be able to buy that S9 elite chestpiece (as example) if i wasnt in 2200 3v3/5v5/RBG? Every item in the elite gamma was locked between the same requeriment, 2200. Having a piece proves I could’ve got the others. The clarification of not having them is posted above, but it was because transmog werent a thing, and in that time, i was not wealthy in WoW, so I decided not “recolor” my already gemmed/enchanted pieces, and buy just the new ones that I was getting through the season.
Yes, but that doesent fix the problem for people who got 2200 and didnt get duelist or hoth/hota back then. However, that would be a first approach, where GMs would have tangible power and legitimation to bring those items to players in specific cases like mine.
Not really. The requeriments were acomplished, thats why I have a piece of that set.
Transmog did not exist nor hinted, buying a piece would imply to erase all your gems and enchants on that piece, so in that time, I decided that there was no value out of “flexing” for that season with that item. Hence, did not get some. Only got the “new” pieces that I didn’t invest gold on.
Afterwards (long after), transmog was introduced. Very after, wardrobe. So it’s my bad I supose for not knowing that Blizzard would add a transmog system.
Not all of them.
Was the item in your actual bag? Yes/no question. Doesnt matter that you didnt had enough money, was too lazy, didnt bother or what ever reason.
Was the item in your bag? It wasnt. So as Uda said, the ship has sailed amigo.
If it was in my bag I’d already restore the item with no probs, the problem is a different one, friend, problem that as I got suggested, must be debated and posted in forums or suggestions.
Don’t pretent this is another problem, this is a problem that the average player will never have to face, because it is so rare and old. It has its own characteristics that must be understood by its own. I feel bad when I read some things in this post that doesen’t have anything with this case.
to be fair - they dont care about baning you at all - its all automated and when you appeal you get autmated AI response and if you appeal further you get another generic ai response with notation that all further tickets reg this case will be automaticly closed even if oyu have more then legit claims
Wrong; they do change things as long as they get enough visibility, 1 player or 1M players doesen’t matter if it has no relevance.
Take exploits as an example, when they are hidden, nobody notices, Blizzard doesen’t care. When reports kick in (gets notorious), Blizzard fixes.
Now see it the opposite way. If a problem exists and only a player is affected and aware, Blizzard will do nothing. If more people are aware from that problem and it begins something of discussion and interest, Blizzard can begin to work on it. So that’s what I’m trying here.
On a side note, this is not the point of the discussion. Rather than if Blizzard will change it or not, personally, what do you think about the option of alowing players with partial old elite sets to get them complete? I’d like to hear your opinion on that isolated subject, please, it is important to me. Thank you.
How do you see the fact that a player who earned the requeriments and “no currency” for an old set (s9 elite set) could finish the full set after having few spare pieces from it, given that in that time transmog was not a thing?
I already said my opinion: The ship has sailed. You did not get it back in the day, for whatever reasons, so you should not get it now.
It devalues the excitement of “special events”. Think of the 20 year anniversary. Why would people participate if they knew that in 3/4 years they will get all the items anyways.
With all the sadness in my heart I will answer to you by saying that you can’t see my point, because your “approaches” or comparisons are not comparable to the case. It is ok, I can respect your poit of view, but it is so far away from the matter of this post.
I will just add in your comparison, imagine if T2 reworks were unlocked after certain achievement/requeriment, let’s say, finish the raid in HC without dying. If for some reason, a player would’ve earned that achievement but only would’ve bought its main’s T2 armor, that player should be able to get the sets after the event leaves, eventually and through the years, because it was his mistake to not to buy the item, but he still did earn them, not that he did not earn them and want them, different story.
I absolutely see your point. I just dont agree with it and you are trying desperately to say otherwise.
If part of the requirement is to buy the item itself, and you did not (for whatever reason) then you did not earn the item (as you claim). You did not fulfill the requirement.
The requirements for the S9 set are to reach 2200 raing AND buy the item. You did not buy the item. So you dont get the set.
What you want is to retroactively change the requirements to have that item. And that is a NO. The ship sailed. Deal with it.
I did get the currency item, the epic s9 pieces, full set, which were the currency for the item. I was able to buy them, but I didn’t for the reasons mentioned above. How come that if I did achieve the reqs for certain set and I did not get it on time I lose it, when other sets such as the legion elite sets are still available to buy 4 expansions later? It’s the same logic, I should be able to get them.
