Wow, Vulcanus… that’s a name I haven’t heard in nearly two decades.
I agree with most posts in this topic to be honest, including the op.
I especially think that Discords really accelerated a lot of the closed RP culture that people perceive right now. Personally, I’ve wandered through Stormwind a few times since I joined back up at the end of DF and I’ve seen random RP all over the place.
I tend to avoid these big server events, just having to “sign-up” to do RP rubs me the wrong way. The events being strictly organised through Discord channels and those who are already in the know doesn’t help either.
