I would like all zones of old content to scale with your maximum level. Perhaps you could speak with Chromie to make it happen.
I thoroughly enjoy questing, but once you hit the maximum level, the excitement diminishes. If you can effortlessly defeat every enemy with a single shot, the questing experience loses its appeal, and the rewards become less meaningful if they dont scale with your level.
It’s not like they can’t do this, as it’s already there as you know with chromie, when you use the timewalking option.
So they just need to add/tweak some things here & there and it’s all done. So overall not a hard thing for them to work on, but I doubt it’s something they have on their priority list of things to add/remove/fix.
Just when you have some time off, and nothing to do. I like doing quests as it helps building a connection with the character you are playing, instead of doing dungeons til 70 and just feel like your character hasn’t accomplished anything.
It would be nice to level to max , without even touching Dragonflight . The same will probably go for the next expansion as well .
Also we have Chromie time , which really is what the OP is asking for . It will be upscaled to 70 when the new expansion comes anyway , so why not upscale it now ?
So akin to ESO? They don’t force you to do anything, you can level anywhere and it all scales. I then craft some high level gear and it’s all just collection stuff. (I don’t bother with their dungeons and raids)
Because I only started this account in WOD, it has left everything prior to that untouched. I’ve thought a few times about going and clearing the old zones, just the main quests/factions and map building but the fact that I’d just be wandering about 1 shotting whole areas puts me off doing it, would give me more incentive to want to do it if the levels scaled like the OP suggests. I love the old zones way more than most of the newer ones and would be pretty content doing a bit here and a bit there when I had nothing meaningful left to do for the day in Dragon Isles, just those levels make it feel pointless.
