Hello,
I am new player with a lot of questions.
I notice after doing the dragonflight campaign (also bought wat within) and hit level 71, I couldnt do the dungeons from dragonflight anymore. Not with followers or queue up for it. The wwi dungeons appeared.

That was kinda annoying as I was almost at end of the story but couldnt complete it now. Needed to kill Some bosses. And that Dragon is even locked behind a raid.

So what i was wondering, is that also with the older campaigns?
So when I make a new character and doing legion of wrath of the lich king, is this the case? So to Sum up:

  1. leveling is faster. So when I am doing an old campaign with a new character, and i hit level 71 before ending the legion quest lines, where you need to finish Some dungeons. I wont be able to finish the story?
    As I see that legacy dungeons are not up much.

  2. is Some campaign story of all expacs tied behind old dungeons and raids? How to complete it then as new player? As I cant solo it with followers when I level to fast? As the bosses are at the end of the story and did so many quest i leveled up.

Yep from lvl 70 -80 the game wants you to do tww content including dungeons.

Is this really how the game works?
That seems weird to me. Surely Follower dungeons should stay working even when you’re beyond that content.

Only option I see is if that’s true is to level up a bit further, 74 or 75 would probably be enough to solo DF dungeons.

So with the fast leveling, you never can complete the older stories then?

Just go back at 80 and solo it

You can turn off xp gain before you hit lvl 70.

The best thing you can do is lock your level so you can finish the story. The bad thing is Blizzard in no way tell you in game such an option exists. So the new players are quite screwed.

I’m a fierce supporter of chromie time up until max level if you want. I get that blizzard wants you to play the last expansion, but every now and then I would like to go back to older expansions too and playing them normally.

Thank you very much. this is the way to do the older dungeons then. awesome. So all campaigns till dragonflight are level 60? dragonflight level 70and warwithin is 80 level right ? So i know when to lock it
