Older raids and dungeons

Greetings everyone.

After being away from WoW for more than a year i finally hit level 60 last night, so now the real game begins  , i love to farm dungeons and raids for mounts, transmogs and i was wondering if after reaching lvl 60 it’s possible to solo old content like Onyxia, Icecrown Citadel, Legion raids and BfA ones?

I’m just asking this because i read a post where it was said to be harder to solo Legion content at level 60 than at level 50…for me this didn’t make much sense but hey you never know.

Thank you all for your time reading this, have a great day and stay safe.

Same thing as ever. Everything is soloable up towards Legion. BfA not so much.

Due to the scaling squish it is a bit borked. I can duo everything under Mythic Antoras. You won’t be able to solo a few bosses due to the mechanics e.g. Keep them split. Can be knocked off platforms.

Everything below Antorus is soloable. I have no idea about BfA raids, haven’t tried.

They could easily fix the problem by slapping the usual debuff on them but apparently aren’t going to for some bizarre reason and say something like “when you are geared in full epics it will be fine” gee thanks Blizz. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Apparently if you keep your neck and azerite gear pieces though, you won’t have an issue. I haven’t tried this though so can’t vouch.

You mentioned Antorus, is that soloable on normal or mythic?

In the Shadowlands prepatch, we had a hidden damage aura to compensate for all the BFA mechanics that were disabled. This aura doesn’t exist at level 60. When people talk about soloing being easier at 50, they mean a fully geared character in late Battle For Azeroth gear, with essences and high heart of azeroth level, would find it easier to solo content than a fresh lvl 60 character.

A fresh 50 vs a fresh 60… the 60 would find it easier.

Anything up to WoD should be soloable.

As Legion is kinda wonky right now it really depends on your gear. Best way to know is just try it yourself. Also as mentioned if you have high ilvl azerite gear it might be better to use it until you can get good SL gear.

I remember a blue tread also the community in here saying that everythingcwill stay the same. Sorry to say, I dont feel it that way and I am not gonna level all my alts to higest possible level and gear to solo old content that I could do with a lvl 110 with looms in legacy raids. So if blizzard keep these changes thats over for the old legacy raids for me at least, but I dont see why they change this. The reason. . .

I don’t think it is soloable at all due to 3 bosses: The hounds require separation on… heroic? So okay for normal. Eonar is a pain no matter the difficulty, maybe doable but never managed. The three shivarra sisters require separating on normal, don’t know about LFR.

Unfortunately you need to kill them all in order to progress, at least the first time. LFR might be possible as I said… but definitely duoable.

Everything up to and including WoD is easily soloable and also mythic legion dungeons are. I did mythic return to kara on this character at around 140 - 150 ilvl after i capped. Was face roll as you would expect. Legion raids however are dodgy. They should be soloable like every expansion before it but at higher difficulties and depending on which raid it is hard. You can probably get away with things like normal and heroic emerald nightmare but i don’t think mythic antorus is possible even on a higher ilvl. The level squish screwed the higher difficulty raids.

But i believe there is also a bug in older content. I have soloed ICC, ulduar and Firelands normal and heroic on this character, my DH and my priest (2 of which are capped and one at 54) but on all raids and all difficulties across all characters some bosses will instantly chunk half my health with one hit. They are still an instakill and 99.9% of their attacks do nothing as usual but it will sometimes bug out and take half my hp when they die or when i don’t instantly kill them. It’s like they get a hit in that they shouldn’t be able to and it’s always exactly 50% of my total hp.

So scaling in general is a bit dodgy in old raids at least from my experience and most certainly in Legion. They need to fix it.
