Has anyone found a way of getting rid of the new direction and distance yellow diamond that Blizz has decided we need?

Interface and turn off tutorials, did you try it?
Interface / Game / Display - untick In Game Navigation

when I wanted to get rid of the annoying talking strap on my screen I had to download an addon. Thats what I meant about not thinking it would be that easy. Thanks so much for the snyde reply to my question.
