Once again the plea goes out. Please, for mercy's sake allow us to tame a giraffe!

I asked for this last year, but was, as usual, met with silence from Blizzard.
I asked for this in 2019, but the wall of silence from Blizzard was deafening.

I asked for it every year from 2007 onward, but received nothing. No acknowledgement.

But now, as the clock moves inexorably into the December, and then the New Year - now is the the time to make this happen, the one thing we’ve been holding our heads high for.

What do us Hunters want?
What have we always wanted?
What will we continue to want, well into the future if our wish is never granted.

The ability to tame a giraffe as a pet. That’s all.

I don’t think it’s much to ask for. Just let me have a giraffe of my own to follow me around, It’s not a huge stretch. Blizzard do not need to stick out their necks to make this happen, just a simple change to taming mechanics and that giraffe could finally be mine.

Every day I imagine what it would be like to hunt with a giraffe. To develop a strong bond of respect and friendship with my giraffe.

I’m not asking for the moon on a stick, just a giraffe to tame.

Please, end the anxiety, make it happen. The entire Hunter community yearns for this.

Never thought about this, but my old main since MC and now my alt is a hunter, I will support your wish.

Giraffe time :giraffe:

I had a giraffe in vanilla WoW. Then they removed the ability to tame them, then they added it again with Beastmasters.

Hunters are weird. If I remember correctly you could tame a giraffe, but only in MoP and only as a battle pet.

A giraffe on average, and in it’s natural habitat eats up to 75 pounds of food per-day.

Consequently (and in the interests of realism) a giraffe fighting at a Hunter’s side would probably need to eat around 87 pounds of food per-day as a means of recuperating the energy used up in combat, and given that giraffes are not naturally agressive creatures, and will generally only ‘fight’ if directly threatened, any giraffe used as an attack beast must be rigorously trained in order to go against it’s primary instincts.

Toward that end I would also propose a new ‘feed from trees’ ability for all pet giraffes, together with an enhanced training mechanic.

This is a fantasy game, we have turtles, spiders, crabs, moths and I don’t know what other peaceful animals fighting alongside us. I second the motion :giraffe: for Hunters.
