There is no point of playing with alts in 8.2 ;/ Why the Nazjatar and Mechagon achievements are not account-wide? 
WTF… Even the long list of elite farm achievement doesnt count as one… Thats just ridiculous.
More ridiculous than this is the X-995 Mechanocat The colors are not acc-wide!!! OMG. You have to farm weeks to get a single color for your pussy and then you cant use it on alt…
but why exactly do you NEED that color on your alt?
Because my alt is my “main” 
I enjoy playing low level PvP and I cant get different colors with lvl 20 for example. Anyway… the mounts are acc+faction wide but the colors are not? 
I dont get it. I think of the mouts as cars - you earn it with one character and then you can borrow it to your alt. Thats how the mounts works atm. But with the colors… its like my dad driving red Ferrari and when he give it to me for a spin… the Ferrari turns grey when Im behind the wheel ;]
Anyway, its and ugly mount and I never use it. Maybe I would use it in gold, but the achievements are killing me…I have to farm all the elites, rares, world bosses with one character. I did my story with 1 ally and 1 horde and the horde is my alt but it turned out I killed more elites during my questing and now I have to wait/look/farm the elites again with my main char which have almost Exalted rep already.

i play my alts daily to farm rares, and many players farm manapearls with alts to do the benthic gear lottery.
yes tinkers and mount colours could be account wide, but it’s not that big of a deal for me
well they made it a one main character only
i revived my other game account, just to have some fun after this gem of patches.
best way to cope with idiocy is to avoid it as much as possible, the metrics will do the rest 
I dunno about you, but i have no issue keeping my alts with my main. Those colors have very high chance to drop anyway.
This is the story of 8.2 really isn’t it? 
Personally I just don’t have the time to maintain an alt. Not even got any other character to 120. If I’m not doing a raid or M+ with this character, then I’m in that ~1 hour of the day when I sweep through as many dailies as possible.
The problem, from my perspective, is that modern WoW isn’t letting my character “grow up” like I could in WotLK. Sure, there was the daily heroic, but it was fast and easy once you were raid-geared, and once you had done the rep grinds, they were done, over, finished. You reached a state where you could login to raid, and nothing else. And I was happy with that! It left me time to try out other classes, to the point of making them raid-ready as well.
Now you damn well better like your main because you aren’t getting chance to do real content on anything else.

I liked these times to, people complain about nothing to do but i never get time to do nothing, i wish i could level alts, do transmog runs, collect mounts, complete old achievements, fish, archeology, collect pets, arena and bgs, etc. /sigh
That’s mainly because they are wannabe production line/factory workers who are used to doing the same thing over and over and over again. At some point in that endless iteration, they will even convince themselves that they are enjoying it and hence was the wow revolution borne.
I use alt for professions and to help gearing guildies with my tank. I have no time to put my effort in my alts with essences, azerite power and the rest.
Such a shame.

I would also want to have time to do this but most players just want the latest content or they get bored, complain on the forums and we get the game we have today
They’ve really outdone themselves with the rewards this time.
Basically, every day, there’s a chance you will get to have a chance to loot one of the many things you need for the meta.
The “island visitors” are RNG, the rares that spawn only once in a while are RNG, you get to loot them once in that specific day and the drop chance is as low as on any other rare that you can kill daily.
The person responsible really deserves a raise for this one, putting the lottery on the next level - jackpot or bust, no consolation prizes.

All things that you can buy from the vendors that require reputation should be Account wide once and for all .
I farmed Mechagon rep on my hunter , ankoan on my warlock (because of alchemy /herbalism ) and i main a dh this season .
The titan purification protocol not only it costs a lot (3rd lvl ) u need to be exalted . Wtf is this crap .
Essences are core game stuff , u can’t hide them behind an exalted rep farm .
As op said 1 Character / expansion / patch .
Again this devs are out of touch with the basic needs of players .
Oh , ( sry for the edit) not to mention the mention the Condensed-life force essence hidden behind the Aqueuos reliquary which drops in raid .
Legion was 1 million times better from this point of view .
All the essences should be available for everyone for a few simple clicks or a few quests or a scenario .
It’s not that hard if you take out the essences bit.
My mage is at 428 and farmer dh at 423 and that’s before I even started playing m+ on the reg. The dh has half the essences of the mage tho. And none are rank 3.
There is an easy way to fix this if they don’t want to make rep account wide. Make the rank 3 recipes/patterns/whatever account bound and buy-able for characters that do not have the professions. So you can buy the recipes/patterns/whatever with your main and mail it to your alt that needs it.
I can’t understand why reputation with a faction, any faction, is not account wide in the first place considering we have the shocking limitation of not being able to play any class with any race we want and not being able to change the class on your main. We are stuck with and endless stream of alts for any class we want to try out. I wonder how much database space Blizzard would save if they just let us change the class on our characters. We would not have to make a new alt, just change the class and if it “does not fit our play style”, the long term for it sucks, we just change it back or to something else.

I haven’t really been having issues with Alts to be honest , however I’m barely grinding on my main I’ve just pushed 4 to 120 and now running another 2 from 110-120 through Islands.
I kind of need to sit back and grind Nazjatar and Mechagon (especially mechagon) for my flying only things missing is the rep achievements.
