The post is aimed at paladins and shamans leveling they cannot aoe level and if your talking about paid boosts with gold many will be trying to get boosts but there is only gonna be so many mage boosters.
Alot of players are wanting boost and you forget the fact that it’s capped per hour, how much is it gonna cost per run you can be sure it will be more expensive. How can you expect new players or even existing players to afford it.
How much time are players going to be waiting spamming trade chat WTB boost x dungeon.
Boosts will also take longer as blizzard has an aoe cap and flame strike has a shorter range boosts will take longer.
Even if you have unlimited money and can get a personal mage booster it’s still going to be unfeesable to reach the cap in two weeks unless you can spend 10hrs per day playing which goes against the mantra of blizzard giving time for draenei and bloodelfs starting outland on launch with their friends.
I am not defending blizzard in any way, but why do you need to be lvl 58 as a Bloodelf or Draenei when actual TBC hits. You dont need to be first and you dont need to get server first or whatever. Beeing behind is perfectly fine.
Not everyone can afford to be a degenerate and play prepatch for 8 hours upwards. I personally would like to be, but i wont be able to. Falling behind and taking your time is perfectly fine. Try to enjoy the game instead of having your mental state dragged down by those min-maxing fools.
Take your time - you will it enjoy it , believe me.
Also, did blizzard say anything about about giving Bloodelfs and Draenei enough time to level up to 58 before bc hits?
It´s a rhetorical question. Even if they did say that…How can one be so naive and trust anything blizzard says or promises?
Cmon people. It´s all about boosting that Q2. Everything else is irrelevant. Please dont ban me now. Develop some skin, dear forum mods… If there even is such a thing as a forum mod.
Also …please excuse me, if this post seems unorganized. I am very hungry and waiting for my lasagna to be finished cooking.
I agree it sucks, but in the long run it wont matter you know, you’ll catch up and have enough time to gear up and get bored of the phase 1 raids before phase 2
Why everyone be in such a rush? Outland will be a clown fiesta for at least a few days. Literally unplayable, mon.
Hexx be leveling a new character from pre-patch and take my time. By da time WotLK Classic is announced, Hexx has cleared all TBC content again, like back in da day.
It’s not so much as being in a rush to max level it’s more like people who you have been playing with throughout classic and your irl friends making the decision to roll a blood elf or dreanei has now taken the fun out of the game as they will more than likely have to level alone while their friends are grouping up having a good time in outland they will be stuck in azeroth leveling alone when they hit outland all the good times leveling up with friends will be missed as they will be so far ahead of the curve.
Look at classic most people would agree phase 1 was the most enjoyable.
If you dont have personal boosters you are out of luck lol. There will be so many people playing draenei/bloodelf that zones are flooded and if on pvp server you will be ganked 24/7 too.
This is fine for you, but for people who wan’t to join their mates to dungeon grind to 70 because doing stuff fast and efficient in a 15 year old game is fun for them, this is utter trash. They may aswell have just let blood elfs and draenei boost at this point because they have left people a ridiculously short period of time to play the race/class they want to.
Just because you want to take it casually does not invalidate people being annoyed because blizzard decided they wanted to boost their Q2 reports and screwed them over. Other people have different aspirations in the game to you, and its great you want to be take ur time but i have mates that i want to join on the day on my pally. So i can be in that first raid with them, not still leveling whilst they are raiding Kara.
No one would be complaining if pre-patch dropped a month before as that would be a somewhat more reasonable 3.5-4 hours a day to reach 60 in time. At this rate alot of people will still be leveling right up until the Dark portal opens on the 1st of June. Mage boosters are going to be alot rarer and people without a group of friends dedicated to helping them are going to struggle getting it done.
To the people saying its bad prep your either not leveling a paladin and don’t care or you have people to help you but you all know you would be annoyed if it actually effected you, so stop being so disingenuous.
This point is the best i have seen it put so far. Thank you, nice to see that someone understands and isn’t just typing “stop try harding” or “your just badly prepared”. It has nothing to do with being prepared, its the fact i now have to put in 8.5-9 hours a day over prepatch approx to make it to 60 before pre patch ends. Kinda makes me wonder why i am even bothering, whereas i should be excited to level my new pally.
Because they said it would, if they just said from the start that they were releasing Belf and Draenei on release day no one could be that pissed but they said multiple times that they would give people time to level their blood elfs and draenei
And they are. People can level their Smurf/Blelfs for 2 weeks vefore TBC.
They never said “everyone, no matter how much or litte time they invest in the game, will absolutely have enough time to level his new alt to 60 and get full R14 gear and 300 on both professions”.
If people expected that to be the case, that’s not Blizzards fault.
Are you the only one in your guild who levels a brand new shaman/pala? Group up for free boosts. All you “social players with friends” certainly got enough of those for 2 years
I could definitely get a friend to boost here and there but your forgetting other people have their own goals some might want to get the PvP weapons or finish their higher leveled alts off that they want to lvl in BC then you got other people who are coming back who quit ages ago who don’t have people to boost them and carry them or completely new people.
Everyone’s situation is different. Two weeks ain’t enough time for pre-patch no matter what way you spin it.
It completely is blizzards fault they said in interviews that they where giving plenty time on pre-patch for players to level blood elf and dreanei to join their friends in outland on launch.
Two weeks is a discrace
If your really efficient it takes 5 days played time
The average is 10-15 days played
To reach 60 in classic in tbc it gets shortened 1/3
So the most efficient method takes 3.35 days played
Average player will take 7.7-10 days played
This means Efficient players will need to play 5.7 hours every single day to each that goal and I’m not taking In to consideration issues that might happen like login queues, busy world getting ganked etc.
The average person will need to play upto 17 hours every single day.
So no it is blizzards fault making false promises.
Stop the whining already, nothings gonna change the fact that it’s gonna be 2 weeks pre patch only, instead of moaning all the time on here prepare things to help level more efficiently.
@Tartanangel: While I agree on two weeks being a fairly short time, you are calculating to a wrong target. Outland is both accessible and viable at level 58 and profession skill level 275, if my recollection is correct. And since the portal area will likely be super crowded at launch, reaching level 57 just a bit before launch could be enough for many in order to reach 58 just after launch. Granted, about two levels is not a huge change, but they do take a bit of time.
Please link the video or bluepost where they said: “We guarantee that everyone will have sufficient time to be 60 and have gear & professions sorted out on their blelfs/draenei at TBC launch”
So you’re saying it’s possible? Then why are you saying Blizzard did not provide enough time?
Also your averages for efficient and average levelers are both wrong and will be shorter.
I’m not saying it’s impossible but for Majority of the player base it will be not everyone can play almost 6 hrs, 7 days a week. Those times are calculated with burning crusade exp in mind. Do a quick Google search and napkin maths and you will find I’m correct.
This is true you can be in outland at 58 but still behind majority of player base I didn’t take profession leveling into account but then I would also have to figure the percentage lost as it would be less than 1/3rd saved as the exp saved is exponential those last two levels are alot shorter in tbc calculations will be more complex.
