No then classes like ranged and rogues would benefit from this, especially classes who can avoid dmg incoming. As I said, bad idea. You’re turning classic into retail with this mindset

If it only remains at 50% until the next reset then its really pointless testing. Anyone with half a brain can predict what would happen with a 50% damage reduction and no mana cost reductions on damaging spells.

would make me not want to do pve then. Pve for me and many others is a way to farm gear to pvp with

and you could still do that, but you’d be running with no dmg reduction vs other people who may have 10-20% damage reduction (and lower damage output as a result).
it would even out. only difference from now and then, would be melee not dying in like 2 auto shots from your local huntard.

oh by the way, this obviously assumes we’re getting rid of this dumb blanket thing entirely.
