Indeed. I think if we just got a chance that all those RPers who don’t feel at home at other servers might have an incentive to come here (read it as not having to pay quite some money which many might not be able to afford right now), we could again build a small, but stable community.
And even if not - nobody will lose anything. Blizzard won’t lose anything, either, because let’s be honest: no one in their right mind would pay money to transfer to our realm right now. And I can’t even judge them for it. Were it for free, on the other hand, some might give it a try.

And I‘m happy we were included, with guiding words and patience. I, for myself, must say, I learned more about my paladin in this phase of the game than in what … 18 years prior to that, because I never ever raided. I just didn‘t feel comfortable enough for several reasons. During Wrath Retail the game became so unbearably anonymous, due to the Dungeon finder, and later realm clusters, that I just used it as a single player game. I‘m sure there are more people out there in their social comfort zone (aka alone) who would take the hand when offered (for free. Because why pay money to get somewhere else, if I just play for myself?).

I need more than tea after waiting for 4+ years for something to happen for retail low pop servers 
There is, hardcore realms and everyone will abandon HWL for those and it will become empty again. I guess the OP doesn’t want to pay for a chance to gank them.
The retail solution is:
Cross realm zones, LFR, LFG, Cross faction guilds.
I doubt they will do much more.
My realm cluster is also rather empty, the Classic team would have just killed it 
The era one, hopefully, yes.
The realm should belong to the roleplayers and players who prefer RP realms.
However, the Wrath realm is empty and would need some transfers towards it

Transfers from ALL EU Realms towards Hydraxian Waterlords are open now!! 
If the roleplayers want to join, they now have the option.

Please do! Even at odd times there are people online. I am usually only available to play in the mornings (like 9 to 11 am realm time) and there are some other level 80s too. and I’m always happy to help like with a group quest or stuff on Horde-side.
Edit: As of now i already see a nice number of people on discord announcing their comeback. Keep coming!
