Open world raids - lag and factional imbalance

This is becoming a problem, both Nazjatar and Mechagon are effectively being shutdown for half the players and made borderline unplayable for the rest.

We’ve got massive raid groups dominating what should be a fairly balanced pvp ecosystem and generating vast amounts of lag when they do so.

It’s not just pvp either, huge swathes of players on Mechagon jetpacks lagging the crap out of the zone, as they jump from rare to rare like starlings on electricity pylons.

There needs to be a deterrent, be it forced or implied, so playing the game is actually possible. Either reduce raid sizes for open world content or remove access to all rewards except world boss drops, whilst in a raid group.

I’d like to play to be able to play in a zone without a 2-3 second delay or getting corpse camped by a 40 man raid.

The problem is very old, but Blizzard stubbornly do not want to repair it, or they cannot (this is strange).
