Opinion on WoW youtube content creators?

My opinion matches yours to an extent specially of hazel and kelani. As for bellular, no matter what thumbnail or title he has for his videos, I find myself watching 2 -3 min only then turn the video off…i can however complete his videos if Asmongold is reacting to it.

Unless they are trying to make out they “speek for da communitiez!!” i don’t mind them.

But when they start telling everyone what they should be doing or not be doing like Asmonbronze I pay them as much attention as i do a screaming 5 year old rolling on the supermarket floor.

Pausing after every other sentence is annoying to me.

Speaking of which, Asmongold was and kind of still is a legit Youtube WoW-content creator. Although he’s not making guides these days, some of the old videos are really helpful.

Oh, and… hi chat.

Bellular feels like a complete waste of time if you bother checking wowhead once a week. I absolutely regret watching what he produced in the past few months at the very least, either felt like a total waste of time or that I was told what I should be unhappy about… Meh.

Sorry, I need more than “tHiS iS teRrIbLe !” to start complaining about something… Felt like the forums : making the issue bigger than it actually is.

Preach on the other hand has some interesting content with actual beta footages and insights, I disagree with a lot of his opinions but the points he makes are interesting nonetheless.

Not that his words are gospel but if you want some beta footage on YouTube I’d suggest Preach. For any news just check wowhead with addblock, it’ll save you a lot of time and biased statements. (Well wowhead does have its own bias posts but it’s mostly factual)

Don’t really bother with the others and I don’t watch streamers.

I find some comedy material on the tube good. Although I’m not really that involved in classic other than a level 20 hunter toon, I got to love this channel called “WowItsHard” they do a few classic related content. Their latest video was just pure comedy gold to me:

I like Bellular for his constructive criticism and I agree with his approach to the game most of the time.

I like SoulBreezy for his layed back approach and informational stuff and Asmongold for his content video’s, his humor and his common sense in matters outside of WoW.

Dalaran Gaming for the most part. I watch his 5v5s on a regular basis, so obviously YT recommends his other videos to me as well. If there’s something interesting, like class changes, I’ll definitely jump on that.
I don’t mind some Taliesin & Evitel either. WoW is a game, so it’s good to let your hair down and not take things seriously for a moment, and they generally give you the news in that non-serious, lighthearted way.

I have no problem with any of them. Happy to see gamers who enjoy WoW can make a living and enjoy the game.

For me I rather watch any wow content creator than sit and watch TV, typically gonna enjoy it more, much good content and talented creators.

Has been a while tho, watched some content in the classic boom and very few since(yes even longer since I sit and watch a TV if u don’t count gaming)

I like preach. He’s direct. Has a very high level of understanding when it comes to the game and none of those clickbaity annoying titles either.

Same for Hazel. She’s one of those people that turns hours long worth of discussions into 10 minute short and complete summary video which gives you all the details you need while not wasting your time.

I keep up with Preach and Hazelnutty when they make videos about gameplay. Both make lots of other videos as well; I tend to skip those.

Preach has the most informed analysis of gameplay decisions I know. I don’t always understand his analysis in depth, but I do get most of it. When he makes a video, he produces it. He doesn’t start just rambling off the top of his head - he organises his points and presents them in a clear argument. I will also always be thankful for his guide videos when I was starting back in Cata. They helped me a lot. It’s a great shame YouTube demonetised him and sent him to Twitch; we’d all be better informed if he had the platform to spend more time making well-organised video presentations.

Hazelnutty makes short guides that are like getting a video injection of distilled Wowhead comments. All the best summary of tips, presented briefly, clearly, and without pretention.

That’s about it for YouTubes I actively keep up with. Oh, the Hall of Fame Honourable Mention goes to … none other than Asmongold. Yeah, it’s not what he does now, but his How-To videos from up to 4 or 5 years ago were excellent.

There are several others I like and catch occasionally: MadSeason, SoulSoBreezy, SignsofKelani, Dalaran, Dratnos. I respect what Nobbel does, and his core videos are amazing, but there is only so much central story to cover.

I fell off Az, T&E, and Bellular over time. Bellular used to be concise, clear, factual, but seems to be succumbing to the pressures of being a YouTube business rather than a creator doing it for love of the game.
