The rune Mutilate says talents that works off backstab also work on mutilate.
Opportunity 5/5 adds 20% damage when hitting from the back with backstab/garrote/ambush.
You can mutilate from the back, however you can also mutilate from the front.
So here is my question : does opportunity rogue talent works on mutilate if you attack from the front ? Do you get the 20% from the front ? ( unrelated to the 20% damage bonus if the target is poisonned )
I know it’s not supposed to work, but it’s blizzard so I’m asking.
doesn’t work from behind or from infront, i tested this in a duel a couple times from the front and from behind, with 5/5 opportunity, same dmg from both directions, Tested 14/12/23

so, technically, with your testing, it either doesn’t work from front / behind, or it actually works from both sides. That’s what I’ve tested aswell, hitting 0 armor critters, the damage from the front and from the back was the same, so either it always works or never works, we would need someone to test it without the talent and with the talent to know if there’s a damage difference.
