With TWW coming out soon, I wonder if it would be possible to have an opt in/out for the Dreamsurge events that happen in the Dragon Isles.
The Dragon Isles have a lot of cool areas to explore/RP in and would like to use them, but can have RP ruined by the effects that come with the Dreamsurge event that happen randomly.

It’s not random though. It’s on a set rotation; so pretty easy to ‘schedule around’.
The only research I’ve found of this rotation is a forum post, unless I’m missing something on WoWhead.
I still think it should be a opt in/opt out, as it would suck to not be able to keep up with the rotation and botch an event over it.
Afaik the rotation is:
Shores - Plains - Span - Thaldrazzz
Also I don’t really see an issue with ‘a little bit of a greenish tinge and some particles in the air’. You can always RP it’s some type of natural ‘pollenization event’. 
This is what the other one also mentioned, so must be true. Just not seen an actual Blizzard confirmation.
The green particles aren’t necessarily an issue, but there’s a buff from the Dreamsurge event where you get a fae dragon following you and also another which summons 3/4(?) critters around your head. I’ve said in previous rp that the ‘Green dragons are getting restless’, but can ruin some immersion.
Right, now I get what you’re talking about; well I think graphics like that should overal be opt in. I don’t like graphical effects being forced on your character in general.
I don’t necessarily mind either, it’s just put me off hosting RP events in Dragon Isles before because I can’t ‘keep’ up with the rotation and don’t want to deal with the immersion breaking.
