Just decided I want to revisit my fem draenei DK but on a new server. Now I am faced for at least the tenth time to do all of the DK starting zone. It’s tedious and it has long lost its charm.
Same goes for the DH starter & Dracthyr one.
Can we please get the option to just skip it after we’ve done it at least once? That’d be great. I wouldn’t even mind starting at level 1 instead of 8 somewhere else (in my specific dk case), or be boosted to lvl 10 and plopped into stormwind/orgrimmar. Just…please stop forcing this on me it sucks.
Yes I know it’s been requested on the forums before but nothing has been done so I am bringing this up. Sue me.
I have all allied races unlocked but I really do want it to be a draenei. LF Draenei almost works but their gold hooves ruin the dark t-mogs I’d be rocking x3
I’m slowly making my way through the starting zone, taking breaks often because dang it’s excruciating at this point. Really not looking forward to the part where you have to smack crusaders with that quest weapon until they give in or that final battle >.< Hopefully will get it done tomorrow but good god, they really should allow us to skip it.
They coud add an skip Option because allied races can skip, so why not the original races.
I can understand the Te since after the thrid time the zone is pain (especaly because of two certain quest)
and we got even more skip option since WoD for content, so why not for the dk zone, there is no reson why not.
I think my DK took 2 days to get out of the zone because of a severe case of “I want to level but…I dont want to level through this…thing…again” while wanting it to be of a specific race that wasnt an allied race. The worst part was sitting through the final fight again.
The exact reasons as to why all my DKs are allied races or pandaren. So +1000 to this. The intro no longer makes sense. Also, why worgen have to do it? They didn’t exist as a race until after the Lich King was defeated, same as Pandaren. Why do pandaren get to skip but worgen don’t?
This info can easily be googled in 2 clicks.
Spoiler: DK worgens are ressurected sons of arugal, they were cursed before cataclysm, there are vanilla zones with worgens as enemies
Yeah, but worgens which we could consider sentient enough to be “heros” which is what the Lich King used for his DKs, didn’t exist before Cataclysm to my knowledge. These worgens you’re mentioning were essentially feral ones. Not DK material, according to the DK lore of the ones converted by Arthas.
Also I feel like the initial part of the quest line is before lk died. When you turn to a worgen in that church I always got the impress there was a bit of a time skip there
They could easily give us a skip option and the fact that this demand has come up time and time again speaks volumes. Make first timers do the whole intro to experience it, but once is enough, after that it should be our choice just like it’s our choice now whether to level in a race’s starting zone or in Exile’s reach.
Ah yes, the torture quest with the glowing iron, last time it takes me +30 trys to get the information, thay quest is hell.
Yes, and the other one with the mine where you throw the device that turns the miners to ghouls, but it have significant high chance to spawn angry ghost.
I must wander through the whole mine to get the 5 freaking ghouls because the chance is nit high.
These are two absolute hate quest.
And the main reason why the zone sucks.
Another annoying thing is the time for the battle for the Chapel, in worsg case you sit 5 minutes there to wait for the start.
Couldn’t you give him a Dialog option when to start (immediately start) just like other npc when a hard fight is about to start.
Each to their own but the DK starting zone always gets me pumped to play my DK characters. That speech Darion does before the attack on Light’s Hope gives me chills.
The sky goes red with the blood of the fallen. The Lich King watches over us, minions. Leave nothing but ashes as misery in your destructive wake.
Yeah they did - they’ve existed for thousands of years, technically. And the Worgen one is explained as being one of Arugals, not the standard type from Gilneas, and thus was available during that period. Especially considering that the Lich King had Arugal raised into undeath…
