There are multiple posts about this issue already. Seems like such a bizarre decision to limit experimentation/customization with the one-way exchange. Add a penalty… material requirement, anything, just give us the option to swap.

i find it ridiculous that i have to get upwards of 2-6x2 pieces of t2 just for ms/os to work as intended as, apparently, now our classes basic functionality is tied directly to the set bonuses we gain from the tier sets.
bro, enhancement dps gains a 50% INCREASE in damage done by Stormstrike with main hand (at least 2h is now meta which is cool) if they got 4x t2 gear now.
you just made it so you MUST have 4x t2 to parse at all, and the vibe i am getting is that this is the same for every set/spec when it comes to t2 pieces.
for example, rogues are complaining that they basically cannot tank/do their current role until they get “that one set bonus from that one set bonus of t2”.
i’ve gotten sidetracked at this point but damn, back to basics; i decided to stop rolling on t1 gear in p4 after getting 4x and now in phase 5 im down so bad because of it.
my generosity towards my fellow raiders in phase 4 ended up accosting me so hard man, like bro, i went double 4 set five thunders/earthfury tank on my shaman in p4 cus it was what i would consider BIS - i stopped taking t1 pieces in p4 after getting 4x t1, then phase 5 comes out and now its this mix/match of set bonuses and stats i have to juggle, and then i’m down bad because i actually found myself needing t1 pieces to swap out in my 5thunders slots in order to transition to t2 gear bonuses properly and im missing t1 items to do so cus i figured i wouldn’t be a loot goblin.
NOT TO MENTION THE ADDED SIDE EFFECT OF T2 HAVING LITERALLY 0 FIRE RESISTANCE ON IT, FORCING ME TO KEEP MY T1 GEAR IN MY GOD DAMN BAGS AT ALL TIMES.

gg blizzard, i learned from my mistake, and now i’m going to get a full set of t2 for both main and offspec even if it means i gotta “steal” because if i don’t its gonna accost me again.
love how the design of the game basically assumes i’m going to loot goblin a full set of gear for BOTH my specs and directly goes against the philosophy of “passing” loot to those who need it more.

Yeah it’s quite sad we can’t swap. As a rogue it’s not necessarily another spec even, just a matter of different runes. I am locked to a specific playstyle right now and if I want to try out another rotation, there is no going back.
Why?
Blizzard already gave us dual spec. With SoD every phase is very time limited so it doesn’t really make sense to make players farm endlessly for 2-3 sets of T2 to be able to play how they want.
At least give us the ability to swap for a fee of some gold per item.
All players are not discord sweat lords who know the perfect setup from the beginning and maybe did some mistakes here and there with their core forged items. Now they are locked into a very unfavorable position.
