Option to turn off scaling

As the title says. Would you like this option, I would personally since scaling imo ruins progression.

I’m in favour of scaling but an option wouldn’t hurt anyone right ?

They should still have the Data from before 7.3.5 so it should be doable, although it may need some tweaks since back then you could outlevel the zone by a large margin.

If they ever implement layering in BFA it could be easier to give you this option though, you would have a layer with scaling and another one without.

Have never liked this whole scaling thing. Prefer to move to higher level areas. With scaling there is very little incentive to move anywhere or do anything as you never really feel the benefit of levelling up? Or at least not for PVE players. Not sure how it is for PVP, raiders etc?

I’d go for it…much as I’ve always enjoyed wow…scaling is one thing I really really don’t like

Well it would unless scaling and unscaled players were in a separate shard.

The benefit of scaling is that multiple people can have a chance to tap a mob. If they didn’t then the unscaled person could in some cases one shot a mob. Huge trolling opportunity there.

I didn’t get in to the beta proper but the short time I played the stress test made me appreciate multi tap and scaling for world content.

I doubt it’s as easy as flicking a switch to turn it off, it would probably need a different client.

War mode operate with other shards so i never expected scaled and non scaled players to be able to play of the same shard. It would cause far too many issues imo

Is that any different than phasing tho ? Can’t blizzard make a non scalable version of Azeroth and open it like War mode ?

I did forget to mention it would be a good idea. I liked the feeling of being more powerful as you got gear.

Yeah me too, this whole scaling malarkey isn’t my cup of tea tbh. But I do understand others like it which is why I would like the choice

I was a big proponent of scaling but not in the way Blizz has implemented it.
It should have always been a toggleable option.

Current scaling is not good and had I known this was the way they would do it, I wouldn’t have asked for it.

Raiding only really applies to whatever’s the level cap at the time, so…
