Option to unlist/hide inactive accounts

I have several inactive World of Warcraft Accounts taking up space in my launcher and under my Game Accounts on my account management page. While a minor inconvenience, I just had a nice chat to a Game Master about whether or not these could be removed to declutter launcher and account page somewhat. Since these were paid for, they could not. Which in itself is understandable. As of right now you can only remove the free starter edition.

But it got me thinking that as a user I should have more agency in what to do with accounts I own, whether that is to remove them or simply just unlist or hide them from the Games & Subscription page, or even from the Game Launcher. While maybe not a big issue to some, it is clutter on a page I would like to see us be able to do more with, and gives the user more choice on what to do with active and inactive accounts.

The reason why they don’t want to remvoe them is becasue people sometimes change their minds or have their accounts hacked. Both cases could cause problems if someone would want to restore removed account after yaer or so.

Option to hide inactive ones could be implemented but you should post it on Blizzard Launcher app forums:

I recently deleted a ‘starter edition’ that was listed in my account.

Maybe this helps.

Maybe invoke GDPR on them; they do it for the whole Battle net account why not the individual licenses.

If you have explicitly told them you are not using it then they have no legitimate reason to hold on to it so it should be deleted.

They’ll delete trial accpunts but not full accounts.
