Orc Hair Clipping

Hey. Recently I decided to roll an orc (regular one, with straight back), and while customising it at barber I saw that cool “Bladefist” hairstyle. You know, that one with long, hanging hair that looks like Kargath’s. So I picked only to realise that it clips into my character while he stands. Not only when he runs or does some crazy animations. It just happens while he breathes due to the fact that he stands straight (I would attach a screenshot, but I’m not elgible). The hairstyle was clearly not created with straight-back orcs in mind. I know it’s not something big that makes the game unplayable, but it is at the very least irritating to see such cool hairstyle that I cannot even use without crippling my orcs back. I know its due to lack of hair physics in the game, but at the very least you could make this hairstyle a little bit shorter so all orcs can use it properly.

Yeah I can’t really stand those kinds of details either but it’s par for the course with Blizz unfortunantly. There’s little bugs or however you want to call them since forever and they still havn’t gotten around to fixing it despite many reports.

Still, if clipping bothers you don’t play a male Blood Elf

That’s why I’m still a hunchbacked orc. Upright or a hairstyle, it was an easy choice for me. You can’t have both, according to Blizz that would be too much fun :slightly_smiling_face:

Wait until you discover that nearly all sideburns skins also clip inside your neck.

They have short ears now so the clipping issue is fixed

Void elves on the other hand…

Unless you mean the hairstyles?

Belves have so many clipping issues like weapons through legs and arms, shields through shoulders, hair through torso/back (hair also floats above the characters a bit) etc.

Straight orcs are bad. That’s why I’ll never change mine.

But for orcs I guess it would be simpler to fix it than on blood elf. Aside from sideburns only this “Bladefist” hairstyle creates issues. As I said, I believe it would be enough to just make it a little shorter or tilt it a little bit when put on a straight-backed orc. But yeah, it is so small that they will probably never touch it again so I don’t keep my hopes up.

File it as a bug in game.

I already did that several times about the fact that they forgot to recolor the rope on the belt of the Legion monk elite set:

The rope everywhere else on the entire set is purple, including the two bits of rope that hang out of the belt, except for the waist part which is the same red as the original PvE set this is a recolor from.

I reported it several times. It still looks like that.

The reports go to QA and they’ll prioritise it with other bugs. Just because it’s not fixed doesn’t mean that they wont look at it eventually, or might decide it’s not a bug or not worth fixing.

I started reporting it 4 years ago. And it’s pretty obvious that, if not a bug, it’s still a significant oversight that ruins the consistency of the set.
