What does that even mean? How do you make a zone that ISN’T an utter chore to play through? What zones DO people enjoy? I know for one Nazjatar & Mechagon are 2 of my fave zones in the game currently, I like the blue sea architecture & the mad max island Mechagon.
By designing content that is actually enjoyable to play instead of creating a zone that looks amazing and then just filling it with WQs and a handful of dailes.
That varies depending on the person but a good example and particularly well received zone was Suramar. Sure it wasn’t perfect as you still had to spam WQs to bridge the revered to exalted gap to unlock the rest of the quest chain, but the quest chain itself was engaging and fun to play through.
I can’t argue that they aren’t good looking zones because they are. I studied marine biology in uni so Nazjatar probably has my favourite aesthetic, but that unfortunately isn’t enough to make the content good.
I would gladly skip it, but they kinda put this important thing called flying behind it.
Pick a main.
Stick with it for the story and just play and enjoy yourself.
It will come on its own
There is no skip for pathfinder( and there doesnt need to be) Tough i truely believe exalted to be too much.
As for your alts. Leveling is not in a great place right now, do what you want its your game and enjoy yourself. But i reccomend waiting untill shadowlands
What is actually enjoyable content? What are you talking about? How would you go by designing actually enjoyable content? Like Suramar? It was exactly the same formula, what about Nazjatar storyline & content is different from what you describe as “actually enjoyable” content?
Personally i think giving people 1 hour flying / day on pathfinder part one (activated by talking to a flight master) on top of the ground mount speed would improve things considerably.
That way flying is not so unobtainable for casual players and it also allows some planning on what you want to use it for (like WQ, pvp, gathering etc). Thats just my thoughts on the matter.
EDIT: mabye even add a mount equipment that adds another hour to the flight license but sacrificing some speed?
The part you quoted pretty much answers that. Don’t just half a** a zone and stuff it with WQs and a handful of dailes.
It wasn’t the same formula though. Suramar was made with that big quest chain as its center piece. Nazjatars story was just an intro questline that you could complete in about an hour or 2. Truth be told I can barely even remember the intro quest, whereas Suramars questline is very memorable. Nazjatar is an important piece of the lore, it deserved the same time and effort they put in to Suramar.
