Seriously, Do you enjoy the game or just grind rep for whole damm days?
I truly and honestly say that blizzard should remove “Pathfinder” achievements.
We all pay every month just to play the game and there comes the Blizzard acting like a villein. You are just actually busy grinding rep for Pathfinder just to fly in that continent, that’s absurd to do this. If game was free to play then ofcourse we player don’t mind for those achievements, do we?
ME: Still need to be revered with 4 more factions, damm i really need to enjoy
the game now. What should i do rep or enjoyment? Gold or Enjoyment?
Damm…i ma too much stressed playing this stupid system.
TIME: I don’t care weather you have stress or enjoyment. It is time to pay Blizzard
for giving you those game time. Pay and go back having stress or DON’T
pay!!! Then go play other game. Blizzard sometimes act like a fake god, “No
replay and No reaction to your question”
When there was a new patch released every time before Drenor, we could fly just buying flying license but after Drenor the curse came down to all WOW lovers. Curse of “Pathfinder” which gives player a real life stress, forcing them to think day and night about “How to fly in new Zone freely” and “Why gold making is being nerfed everytime when it’s posted in youtube”.
Guys please answer: Do you have stress from this pathfinder “THING”?,
Shadowlands is already hammering our door.
Please answer just not thinking for yourself but thinking
about others as well.
Rep is far 2 boring to get for the amount of things tied to it like high recipe levels (honestly just go back to the legion system you get better at making it them more of it you make).
Im fine with pathfinder personally so long as it is fully available from day one.
Flying shouldn’t require pathfinder or gold fee, it should be available for free as soon as you hit max level. It doesn’t kill world pvp, have you ever done any world pvp? I’ve been world pvping since the start of bfa, and its literally the same thing as before when we had no flying.
Flying is a basic quality of life feature like fast travel in Skyrim, and should be available all the time or as soon as you do something basic like hit max level.
Classic. You encounter somebody arguing back and you quit instantly. Why be in a thread discussing one of the most debated topics if you don’t wanna debate?
It’s not even about perspectives, it’s about having logical well thought out arguments supporting what you want implemented in the game. Since flying or no flying affects a lot of people, removing it should only happen if there are good reasons for doing so. Blizzards reason, ofcourse, is to increase their Monthly Average User stats, by simply making every world quest take 10 seconds longer. However, for the playerbase, they sold the propaganda that it’s for “immersion” and that it ruins world pvp, Which makes no sense at all, because if you think flying ruins your immersion, you can simply choose not to fly. And world pvp has obviously not been ruined since there is plenty of world pvp going on all the time all day every day. I’ve been in warmode since day one, I would know.
Im not here to debate with you specifically or post 15 replies and have a convo with you , Hackerman.
I’ve replied only for op’s last paragraph because i wanted to share my opinion since he asked a question regarding flying and how playerbase reacts towards it.
I’ve been in WM since day 1 as well and i cba aiming at flying drakes and before my net shot is landed , player disappears in different shard or even leaving the atmosphere.
Its like playing hide & seek with all these players who have WM Enabled only for world quest bonuses.
I disagree that it should be free just by hitting max lvl. The current system to get flying is a bit too much yes, but it’s not completely bad. Flying should be earned somehow by any mean other than just getting max lvl. It might sound contradictory but being unable to fly in new zones (for a while) is necessary to enjoy the new content, and as such, enjoy the whole game more by having that temporary restriction. I don’t think flying is that necessary also, you miss out on so much of the game due to it.
I’ll admit, I am a bit biased on this regard. As I already said in a other topic about a different subject, I enjoy using my ground mounts more than the flying ones. By using the ground mounts, I feel more like I am in the world, I can see all the stuff the creators spent months/years designing and building, I interact with NPCs, mobs, critters, etc… Makes the experience more pleasing than just “hoping” from one spot to the other. Yes, ofc I still do use my flying mounts, if I am farming something, or need to go somewhere fast, or I am in a zone with bad terrain which makes it difficult to go on the ground or forces you to go around an obstacle big enough to justify flying over it. But other than that it’s ground mount all the way.
Just my 2 cents.
P.S. Just because you mentioned Skyrim, yes I am one of those players that avoids fast travel aswell, usually going by horse everywhere.
It’s necessary for you to not have flying to enjoy the new content, not for me. I can enjoy the content just fine, even if I have flying. Just as I put over 2000 hours in Skyrim and still enjoy it, even though I’ve been using fast travel since day one. You need to admit that your subjective preference of how you enjoy new content (as in not flying) doesn’t necessarily apply to the rest of the playerbase, some will agree, but for you, and those who feel like you, you can simply choose not to use your flying mounts. If you can’t enjoy the new content cause other people have flying, then it’s not about enjoying the content on the ground, it’s about controlling what other people are allowed to do or not.
Ok, you enjoy using your ground mounts more. I don’t. I’ll admit, my favorite mount is a ground mount, Ratstallion. I allways use him in bgs just because I love everything about him. However, in the “real” world, I just wanna travel as fast as i can to the next world quest. Using my ground mount on my way to do my 8000th world quest does nothing for me. At all. I just wanna do the world quest and do the next one. Not run on the ground being dazed dismounted every 15th second.
Cool that you travel by horse, if that’s how you enjoy the game that’s great. And you can do it all you want, even though fast travel is there. So I’m simply asking Blizzard for a choice, so those of us who wanna be fast can use our flying mounts, and those who wanna go slower can choose not to. But there is no reason at all for your side to be against flying, you never have to fly, use flight masters, or even mounts for that matter if you don’t want to. It’s not obligatory.
No I don’t have any stress about it since it becomes automatically when I play the game because I like to explore zones. For me the start of the expansions is almost the highlights when we walk into a new world without have to worry about gear, rio, arena rating etc
Whatever players like it or not we pay to stay subscribed to the game blizzard have created not how players thinks it should evolve into.
Sure if they notice any good suggestions they will most likely add it into a future expansion.
But I don’t think so when it comes to pathfinder since it forces you to explore the game instead of sitting in the capital waiting for queues
I’m starting to get lost on the whole flying debate, I like flying as much as the next guy but real life stress? Not having flying right away is an inconvenience at best, if it causes you real life stress then maybe it’s time for a break.
I am fan of flying, but I am also a person, who occasionally (only rarely) is capable to see other side of the coin. And other side of the coin is that there are people, who are not fans of flying and there are also developers not fan of it.
And as compromise we got fly and no fly times.
Now I am ok with some RPG elements around flying and no flying, but problem is implementation of none. I am still trying to figure out why I need to be friends with turtle jerks or fishfaces to be able to hoover around Boralus. Jaina likes me, every Kul Tiran touches my boots, and every alliance general wants to be, but no … my dead dragon risen by death knights and really type of animal that cannot care less of THEM nor me and is willing to eat me on my sleep, carries even my coffin that serves as my bed on its back… but it refuses to fly because some fish faced idiots do not like me swimming … I mean … yeah … whatever around their seabed ? What am i going to do ? Collide with one of those ‘water creatures now being able to fly instead swimming’ ? I am sure my dragon hits like a truck compared to whatever swi… erm flying fishes I collide with.
I am not even going to ask what is wrong with my druid - she does not dare to fly before she helps another turtle to the water ? Whaahh ? C’mon my druid has seen things that scare whole Turtle faction shelless.
They should make it less complicated is all.
Explore all zones, complete main story line and maybe exalted with 1 main faction, then open it.
Make any later zones introduced, such as the likes of Mechagon based around flying.
Put quests on top of mountain ranges, put objectives in high citadels etc
I like having to work for stuff, it gives me a greater sense of achievement when I get it. And pretty much everything of any real value in WoW is grind. The dungeon and raid gear runs, the mog runs, the currency gathering, the unlocking of races, getting Exalted tabards, pets and mounts, getting other collectibles with low drop rates… it’s how WoW is designed.
I wouldn’t like Pathfinder to be removed. I am a player that doesn’t do M+ or Raid. For me it’s something to do in game. In other words for me it’s content. I even enjoy it. The only thing i don’t like is that it’s a 2 part achievement.
Not everyone is all about high end M+, raiding, or rated PvP. Some like me like questing, levelling alts, collecting mogs, mounts and pets.
