Saw the screenshot of this on Ravenholdt DC. I can understand that you cannot really balance everything out fully, with so many classes and talents in a game like WoW, however, this is incompetence on another level. And by the recent changes they have in store for OL rogues, I can confidently say that either the class designer or the decision makers for rogues at Blizzard are clueless people, and probably not even playing the class.
They just nerfed OL rogues based on some outlier data, or on the word of bunch of elitist streamers who play WoW as their job, just to partly revert those nerfs in 3 weeks?
Retri palas can jerk off while doing their dps at 8/12 yards, frost DKs just spam Obliterate and don’t die, and yet we lost our original Acrobatic Strikes and then this AoE cap/damage crap creeping in now?
I have played a rogue consistently since Vanilla, did my fair share of hardcore raiding and HC and then M+ dungeons back in the day, but I have never seen the class design fail so bad with so many bugs crept into core class/gameplay mechanics.
With the combined state of the rogue and the screwed up M+ reward system this season, really for the first time, I feel like an inch away shouting “Screw WoW, screw Blizzard”. I am paying a sub fee for WoW to have fun like most others, not to deal with a bug infested, unbalanced toxic environment encouraged by Blizzard or these new age streaming, mythic raider hobos, ruining the fun for everyone else.
It may just be Blizzard’s unethical strategy for retention though. You can already see that M+ and class balance is failing for us average Joes now by reading US and EU forums, however, celebration event is near so that will sustain retention, and Blizzard do some actual fixes for classes and M+, then boom, more retention for free (just playing with some numbers).
