Is it just me, or is outlaw already falling behind, particularly in keys? Typically you’d expect outlaw to be doing better at the start of a patch when most packs fall within the 1-8 range. Yet I’m getting beaten by many specs, including uncapped ones, on any count of pack size and obviously left in the dirt when the occasional big pull happens.
And despite simming well (oversimming?), our single target is sooo rng whether we do good or bad, i can literally see myself fall to bottom on details when i fail to get any procs for 5x sinister strike in a row.
We have no proper on demand burst, which particularly hurts us on phases like first boss mists which are really hard to time to have any sort of damage ready.
On top of this the spec is riddled with bugs, you can’t even use Trickster in keys because pressing killing spree is a death wish.
What is Blizzard’s design goal with this spec? Is it just to have a fast-paced reasonably difficult spec to play but with no niche or any place where it really shines?
Agree with all points except the on-demand burst. Vanish is our on demands burst, so e.g. on Mists first boss you have to keep 1 charge ready. Same with AR, if you know burst phase is incoming in a couple of seconds you delay it and use it with Vanish. (Yeah it`s a pain to keep track of it though)
Yup, we got nerfed for being a decent first week heroic spec in the raid & we dont scale well.
They typically dont really tune around m+, they tune around raids - thats why i think assassination for example will not get touched even tho it performs really well in m+… because they (and the other rogue specs) are bottom tier right now.
Also the outlaw tierset doesnt scale well into aoe at all.
2 Set : does nothing in aoe, zero.
4 Set : you would think will do a decent amount of dmg with bladeflurry BtE’s, but if you look at sims … you will realize that not only is the procc chance too low, but its also just not very effective gameplay wise.
Getting a lot of BtE tiersets stacks just doesnt happen because the spec is (rightfully so because its fun) centered around our crackshot windows - farming stacks and using them is not how our spec plays at all.
The only time you will get to 4 stacks is if you kill off a dying pack of mobs, not using your cds on low health targets - saving it for the next pack.
Then you will get -ONE- decently big BtE flurry and thats it, thats the whole thing.
I personally dont know what they did to rogues in general, it once was such an iconic and popular class & now we are the least played class in the game, only beaten by the very fresh evoker class.
