EDIT:
I found a solution, so this thread is solved.
Basically I ended up making a custom addon using a mix of ai and that addon creator site, which allows a button function to be triggered on both push/release.
So when I hold 4 now, /cast Attack gets cast, and when I let go, /cast attack happens again, disabling the attacking state.
Oh one thing though, there’s no banrisk from setting skills to trigger twice (1x on push 1x on release) I hope?
Did see this method being offered a solution though in similar threads, on these forums though.
This post is quite the https://xyproblem.info/
. Can you tell us what the original problem is, that this macro is meant to solve?
(but no, I don’t know a way to do what you ask)
You can’t delay commands in combat macros (outside of sequences). Use a modifier.
But ya, like Yeet, I’m not sure what problem you’re trying to solve.
Edit was supposed to be a new reply rather than changing the main post (Woops)
Anyway, solved it by making a custom addon to allow /cast Attack on both button push and button release.
Warden won’t ban you for this though right? I mean heck I’ve seen people gotten banned for using hyperscrolling on certain mouse (Freeflowing scroll wheels)
So I am a tad worried, but at least these types of miniaddons were already mentioned in a few prior threads here.
Gello’s Grounded addon essentially does the same thing.
Yeah Gello’s post was the basis for this miniaddon, I simply did a session with chatgpt and inputted it into that lightweight addon maker site.
Edit:
I think seeing as I cannot even just fast tap this, as this would cause the same bug as with the “startattack stopattack” macro, means that inputs will never be fast enough to trigger any false positives anyway.
