Welcome to the club…This is just bad coding and configuration by the Dev teams…It is unacceptable for the problem to be Hardware…A company like Blizzard should run only on the best Hardware.
Ah, I thought it was only on my side, but I had massive lag spikes for weeks with nothing of changed on my side, and my internet speed and quality being consistently good. I couldn’t find any answers, and even though I did most of the steps from the list Blizzard provided us, nothing helped. But then it seemed to normalize, only to go to hell again today. It looks like battle.net keeps dropping connection too.
I wanted to chime in on this thread because I’ve been facing similar packet loss and latency issues since the Dragonflight update. It’s been quite frustrating, and I can totally relate to the challenges many of you are describing.
The specific problem I’m encountering involves random spikes in both home and world latency, happening consistently for a certain amount of time each day. What’s interesting is that, like many of you, I’ve checked my ping in other applications, and it’s steady and fine as it should be. This discrepancy seems to be specific to World of Warcraft.
I took the issue up with my ISP, and after some investigation, they informed me that there was a port problem, but it was isolated to Blizzard/World of Warcraft. They performed a cleanse on the port, but unfortunately, the latency spikes persist.
I’m wondering if others who’ve experienced these issues have found any additional solutions or workarounds. It’s impacting the overall gaming experience, and I’m eager to find a resolution.
If anyone has successfully addressed similar problems or has insights into potential fixes, please share your experiences. And if any Blizzard representatives are monitoring this thread, your input would be greatly appreciated.
Let’s work together to troubleshoot and hopefully find a resolution to these persistent latency issues.
Seems to be the same issue then, because my problems are quite similar. I tried all sorts of IP flushing and shenanigans I never had to do before and the issue still presists. Just comes and goes. For a week or so it was fine but I noticed it happening today again. My Battle.net seems to lose connection too, I find it flashing on my taskbar even though nothing has happened, nor have I gotten messaged. It only seems to be an issue since 10.2 and along with the AMD video card issues as well it is extremely frustrating.
