Packet Loss

I’m experiencing packet loss which is leading to random lag spikes. I did a winMTR and while I do see 1% loss at hop 6, there is far worse packet loss at hops 8 and 10 that belong to Blizzard.

Hey Pyrenn!

Thanks for submitting this information. For clarification, seeing 100% packetloss on a hop generally means a version of “we didn’t get information back from this node”, and it’s not an indication of anything being wrong with that node specifically. You want to look for results between 1% and 99% and well, you have that starting on hop 6 as you say. That’s either within your ISP’s own routing or just outside of it.

Seeing higher packet loss further downstream is likely to be a cascading effect from your initial 1% packetloss drop, so I’d strongly recommend you take this data to your ISP Support options and ask them to look into this further, especially if hop 6 continues to show packetloss in subsequent MTR diagnostics taken over a few days.

It still seems like there is something wrong at hops 8 and 10 https://imgur.com/a/4vCgSZl
