Issue:
The BM Hunter 4-piece set bonus, including Stampede, does not work reliably when hunter and target are on different height (stairs, ramps, slopes, valleys). Stampede triggers but deals no damage and produces no combat log hits. On flat ground it works normally.

Reproduction:

  1. Position on stairs/ramp/slope, target higher or lower but in range.
  2. Trigger Stampede → no damage.
  3. Move to same elevation → Stampede hits normally.

Tests & Verification:

  • Reproduced multiple times in open world and dungeons.
  • Tested with different pets, target types, and without addons.
  • Only vertical offset causes the issue; range and line of sight are fine.

Impact:
Significant DPS loss; BM 4-set/Stampede unreliable on uneven terrain.

Workarounds:

  • Trigger Stampede only on the same height.
  • Delay Stampede until on flat ground.

The 4set has been bugged since Ptr testing and there hasn’t been any effort to fix it.
Really hope they take a look at it soon or it will be like S1 all over again

Blizzard needs to show some love to HUNTER

They just keep deleting abilities.

all gone… never in the history of the game has a class been this reduced to nothing. It wouldn’t surprise me if they delete the class entirely at this point.

while i agree with it problems i disagree with the solutions, what i would like to see is the stampede being changed back to the old version whish summons your stabled pets to attack, having to rely on the mobs not being move to be able to do dmg is bad game design
