When will the Paladin class be available to all races, including Void elves, Night elves, Orcs, and Vulpera?
I’d really like to modify my character’s race to Void elf. Humans in World of Warcraft are boring and dull.
Their animation is quite poor, especially the masculine human running motions.
We’ve seen a few NPCs become paladins, including Nightelf in the legion’s paladin class hall. I’m not sure why other races weren’t allowed to be paladins at the time.
I also believe that this game has the potential to improve human animation and make it more representative of modern races.
I mean rogues at this point in time are either pirates (which has been the case since deadmines as far as Tauren are concerned), regular assassins (assa), or void wielding butchers (sub)
The only issue i have with Velf Paladins is that using the Light may just cleanse them, turning them into regular highelfs/Bloodelfs. The Paladin Class while using Void Magic (which can do exactly the same as the Light in terms of healing/damage/corruption) instead of light magic would fit the race better and give something more unique to Allied races to distinguish them from the regular race (which is more “needed” than ever since cross faction given Velfs were given to Alliance so they have the Belf model available)
Ye. And it wouldnt potentially clash with the Lore since we already know the Void can also heal and stuff. They are pretty much the same. Just the ones utilizing their powers have a difference in worldview. At least the big shots (Naaru/Void Lords).
Although I have to say at this point in time should they give us the option to side between the Light and the Void I would side with the Void given the Light forces are pretty much fanatics and only accept one outcome as the true one while the Void ones accept every possible reality as true and dont mind it coming to pass (including the one where they lose). And the powers themselves are neutral by default.
I think Paladins will become available to all races after Shamans. The reason is the amount of work required. Totems seem to take way less time than a whole mount. But also either one is not as simple as just flipping one flag in database. They will come eventually becuase that seems to be the goal to have all classes for everyone.
I recall that they stated that Evoker will stay Dracthyr exclusive. Given evokers are hard baked into their lore. Only the best “experiments” turned out to be Evokers that could wield all the flights powers.
Only thing they could change is the human appearance and iirc the appearance is based on what u want to be seen as or something like that. All races would fit evoker if bliz just made it a class instead of making some budget Belf model as its base
