After the latest patch the Seal of Martyrdom and Crusader Strike is now scaling with or Talent skills and Sanctity Aura which is a huge win. Another bug though that was complained about that is still in the game is Seal of the Crusader Debuff still doesn’t benefit Seal of Martyrdom and Crusader Strike. The ability states :-
“Unleashing this Seal’s energy will judge an enemy for 10 sec, increasing Holy damage taken by up to 140. Your melee strikes will refresh the spell’s duration. Only one Judgement per Paladin can be active at any one time.”
Seal of Martyrdom and Crusader Strike do Holy Damage but are still not benefiting from this debuff. Fixing this interaction is probably the most important thing Retribution needs right now rather than another DPS buff or both. Fixing the Talent/Rune problem was a step in the right direction but this bug interaction also need fixed priority.

So if i get you right we got a 10% damage buff on CS and another 10% from the 40% SoM does?
It sounds good and i do hope they will fix Seal of the Crusader to.
Yeah they fixed it so now Vengeance and Sanctity Auta benefit Crusader Strike and Seal of Martyrdom and Judgement of Martyrdom.
The only bug now left is SotC not increasing the damage done by Runes that cause Holy Damage. This bug is causing us to lose a lot of damage, especially when they have buffed the damage SoM does two times. If they fix this bug Retribution will be in a decent spot.
Probably the best thing they could do for us is combine Art of War and Exorcism into one Rune and give us Wind Fury so Alliance and Horde have 2 Classes thay give Wind Fury so groups can be made easier. When we go 20 man having 2 Ferals will be a pain for Alliance so we should really give Paladins Wind Fury too. Obviously to keep is fair Shamans should get greater might on their Wind Fury Totem.

Problem is, we don’t want SoM.
It’s an awful gameplay which sends us back in the vanilla days where the most important thing was basically to wait for auto attack doing its job.
We don’t want this kind of gameplay, sitting backward while looking at auto attack and waiting for AoW procs with a ridiculously fast 2 handed weapon is the most annoying thing possible.
I prefer SoM because the thing I dont want for SoD is WoTLK Paladin again. We just played WoTLK and its definitely the weakest and most boring variation of Paladin.
I advocated hard for the TBC rotation of Seal Twisting but it was a 50/50 split on Paladins wanting it or not. Now they have chosen against Seal Twisting so they need to do something unique thats different.
What they can’t and musn’t do is make us Wrath Paladins. Its boring and spammjng CS and Divine Storm isn’t fun. They have the ability to give us anything they can think of with the rune slots so give us something new than something lazy.
At least Art of War and Exorcism plays different to Wrath Paladin.
I’d love that.
But i would also like to trade in SoM for Seal of vengeance.

Im no fan of seal twisting, so i don¨t want it.
All i hope for is that dev team look ower all our damage abiletys that deal holy damage is working and it synergise whit priests holy damage.
Well it’s exactly the same thing for the SoA one except you just have to pray for a proc and wait for divine storm to be up again then being oom after 3 rotation. There’s nothing fun in this gameplay
As opposed to the SoM one just by reading your opinion I know that you just have assumption and speculation about it because there’s actually way more button to use and thing to pay attention + we are less reliant about our mana because it’s always full no matter how much ability we use
Bro i have raised and played many warriors and druids with stances and forms, mostly in Arena, paladin class is wheelchair mode to me so believe me it’s not an issue about “paying attention” or “number of buttons”.
It’s just that seal twisting relies on a broken mechanic and that it’s not fun at all to play an auto attack class, which is exactly what seal twisting (and SoM for that matter) is about.
First of all why are you talking about pvp and others classes here ? We’re talking about paladins in pve scenarios which SoM is the optimal gameplay in single target fight so out of subject
Then you don’t have to seal twist to use the SoM gameplay and if you want to use it, it’s only when there’s nothing left to do. Plus many people love the seal twisting gameplay and want to see it comeback like in tbc with SoC and SoM, so your opinion is just that, an opinion in a flow of others.
If I’ve answered to your first message it’s because of your bad faith when you where talking about the SoC + divine storm vs SoM because BOTH OF THEM is actually an auto attack simulator but there’s actually more things to do with the SoM one and isn’t oom rapidly so you’re more useful to the raid with it by doing more damage and helping mana issues of casters and healers
In this thread: paladins talk paladin talk, others with no clue about paladin gives their 2 cents, and the cents are not even real it’s monopoly money
