Palpable latency with low ping

As mentioned in the United States forums, both for US and Oceania servers, there have been issues reported on Tiragarde Sound (and I believe a few others zones) where lag is reportedly present even though technically the local/world latency is extremely good (on wired connections and optimal conditions).

I am here to add my input since I’ve been suffering from the same issue for quite a while now whenever I try to play an alliance character in Tiragarde Sound.

For whatever reason, characters I play on Horde zones are issue-free. And I have managed to either be lag-free or quite close to it in a few others areas around Kul Tiras.

I bring you two things.
A single character I’m currently levelling throughout Tiragarde Sound (that you might be able to get a read on this week before the holidays), the timeslot when I tend to play at, and also an MTR.

Playing on EU Turalyon and having tons of issues in almost every zone. Mount won’t show up, game lags even though ping is 46m/s constantly, skills don’t get the Holy Power counter up. Seems right after the update all this started.

Also I play Alliance Human Pally.

To those who are going to be writing here, please attempt a full clean-up of your addons and WTF folder. That, and obviously confirming you’re on a wired connection, got your drivers updated, and running a traceroute to make sure your ISP isn’t having routing issues somewhere along the line.

Either way, I have.

So, to reiterate the original post: the issue is present in particular areas and mostly all over Tiragarde Sound.
I tried using the same character outside of that zone, and it was pretty great.

Also logged into my druid who was on Darkshore (which I’m going out on a limb and stating it should currently be slightly more populated) and it was smooth as butter. Deliciously snappish.

I could obviously change zones and level somewhere else, of course, but I’d say that’s a “non-solution”.

-UPDATE 11:22, 20/12/18: To add to the feedback: played for a while this morning and the difference is night and day (pun somewhat intended).

So you could say that peak hours are having an influence on Tiragarde Sound’s issues.

Its already admitted there is a problem on the US forums.

No need for this at all.
Not to be negative!! but its better to have 1 thread gathering this.

But the “blues” here seem to not even be aware of any issues.

Shows you how much love the EU gets haha!

Oh and i too have only problems, on wifi by the way not that it matters as its Always been solid as hell, in the same areas OP reports.

Anywhere else, no problems, any char i take to the kul tiras islands? Problem with input lag, specially Tirargarde or however thats spelled sorry.
