Pandaren druids

Okey here me out when pandaren get druids one day they could have many cool forms from pandaria and even be inspired by the four celestials but I only care for one thing.

The bear form.
I don’t want them to have one.

Let the pandaran drop forward on all fours. That’s it. No form change needed keep the armor on don’t even give me the magic proof sound.

Anything else would be ridiculous

This idea itself is kinda ridiculous. The Pandaren doesn’t have the same bone structure as a normal bear, they have evolved into having a Humanoid Bone Structure. Meaning that if they dropped down on all fours, they wouldn’t automatically be as strong or effective as a bear.

I did like the idea of the Celestials influencing their Forms though.
Bear Form = Oxen
Cat Form = Tiger
Flight Form = Crane

You didn’t just came here and gave me an anatomical reason why the bear man in that fantasy game are not as strong as real bears

I did… But not just from an anatomical view. But also from a Modeller view. You’d have to add a bunch of new animations of Pandaren, and possibly the armor, depending how closely bound they are to the model.

And I honestly don’t see Blizzard doing that, they hardly ever add new animations.

Also would panda as boomkin “thick crane”

For whatever reason I feel slightly… assaulted.

In any case, the idea of Pandaren druids seems absurd to me. Turning into the celestials would be like dwarves being druids by turning into Odyn and Thorim. They’re our gods, not mere animals.

(^Yes, I am amused at the idea of roleplaying that conversation)

I would never try to assault my furry panda friends.
But just think of the comedy factor.

Plus tmog in bear form ^^

I also thought about having a glyph of stars for bear and cat where you have a bear/cat spirit above your head/around your shoulders and your hand transform into paws but the rest stays normal so you can have tmog.

You just made a class that involves us spending most of our time bent over.

It is amusing though, I must admit.

Thank god when Blizzard implement stuff like this, They are 100% better than what any other fan can come up with. This is kinda lazy and lack of imagination.

But not cause I lack ideas or imagination.

I specifically wanted it to be low effort because that’s what makes it funny.

You know it’s already a bear so they don’t need to transform

Pandaren wouldn’t make good druids in most cases. Background-wise their approach to the natural harmony is far more shamanistic, with the spiritual power and balance being the baseline of their entire culture. Not to mention the bestial instincts getting in the way of the inner peace and harmony, which doesn’t help with shapeshifting either. They might make some interesting approach to the druidic spellcasting, both in regards of sun/moon offensive spells or the healing, but in both cases it would best be played as their already existing mystics or shamans picking up new tricks instead of something brand new, driven from the deities elsewhere.
