I cannot help myself but every single map its good but pandaria maps looks like trash after some time …its not ageing well
Hmm, interesting.
Because when I was playing MoP: Remix for almost 2 months all I could think was, damn this expansion was beautiful.
You might have a better graphics card than I do I’m sitting at 1080 GTX, lol.
I have 4070 RTX 12gb yep
When was the last time you have been to Outland?
You never know with these topics…
What they really are…
For me Pandaria is a sweet spot. Already nice enough, but not too realistic to break out from the cartoony WoW, nor has it too pronounced effects. (WoD was simply mediocre but Legion feels overdone to me, and I’ve seen some further pictures.)
For sure there are more lifelike games out there, but I don’t expect WoW to be.
Except clutter, a 2D field of wildflowers and those massive beer mugs and everything else from Classic, it’s a bit cringy to have them still in 2024 (in new content). A positive example of that - for me - is the decoration in blood elf buildings, mostly in Eversong.
Still looks good to me.
Yeahhhhhhhhhh no.
- Basically all of Outland looks horrible.
- Northrend for the most part aged fairly well.
- Several of the vanilla/Cata zones look like they’re from another, antiquated game, honestly.
- Shadowlands looks horrible for the most part, newer graphics or not.
Its one if not the best zone in WoW imho apart from dread wastes its beautiful.
Breaking News: 10 year Old videogames have worse graphics than current ones. More details at 11.
Sorry to be facetious, but regardless of whether I like it or not ( I do), what else would one expect? For them to invest hundreds of man hours to revamp every expansion 5 years later for the 5 people /day that travel through it? They are in this to make money after all, not to burn as much of it as they can by investing huge sums for zero return.
“Should” make zero net difference in visual quality though, as even your 1080 or my 1060 is still years ahead of the technology that was available at the time and can easily pull 100+ FPS in 1080p ultra with a comparably current CPU.
