Pandaria or BFA expansion

Hello,

I am getting close with finishing the Legion expansion and setting my plans for the next expansion that I will do. As someone who joined pretty late in SL and someone who likes to do stories I would like to hear your thoughts on those two expansions.

I was leveling in WotLK with Chromie, didn’t complete it since I reached level 50 pretty fast but most of things I explored, and planning to come back later, now I am just doing raids for mogs and mounts.

For Pandaria, I have open flying but not daily, weekly and world quests, and the opposite for BFA. How do I unlock quests in Pandaria and flying in BFA? In Pandaria I was doing raids and for BFA raids and part of the War Campaign to unlock Dark Iron Dwarves.

Eventually I will do both, but I am curious which one was more interesting for you and after Legion and SL, which one will be better to go?

Thank you for the suggestions.

I would do Pandaria first. It’s an interesting and unique island and very calming and relaxing (maybe except Dread Wastes).

If you wish to unlock other allied races asap (you only mentioned DI Dwarves) maybe it’s better to do BFA first instead.

Pandaria for sure. Jade forest is so fun and relaxing to play in, and valley of the four winds is an extention to that, though a bit more open. Kun Lai offers a nice change in scenery after that. Overall the questing in Pandaria is very good.

You feel like an actual explorer in MoP, which was the last time in wow, before you became the Champion that is known all over the world (but not known by raid bosses for some reason).

I think Pandaria flying is just go to the Horde/Alliance hub in Vale of Eternal Blossoms, talk to the flight master or NPC near and just buy the skill for gold to unlock flying.

There’s no pathfinder requirements.

Since you’ve been to WotLK content, Chromie will give you the option to run Pandaland as well.

As for BfA flying, it’s a kind of huge process…

This should help you with it, long story short, unlock it with your main first to make alt life easier (as it’s a very good expansion to level in, both for the zone layout, the story and its speed).

Mind you, it will take a couple weeks. But at least you don’t have to do the WoD or Legion one.

Yes, I don’t like this “famous” thing like in SL now.

Beside storylines for each zone, what would you recommend to do in Pandaria first or on what should I put my focus on (reputations, factions, etc.)?

Would like to notice, since I only have this character, I am planning to go with it. Wanted to make a new character, even if I was altoholic in Classic, somehow here I am very connected with this character, and would like to unlock everything I can.

Also thank you all for suggestions!

EDIT: seems really hard and annoying to unlock flying in BFA, I will probably skip it and try to run

I’d say reputations are indeed the first thing I would complete. Do all the quests in the zones and you get a ton of rep, transmog and eventually a lot of mounts from getting exalted.

Only reps you can’t grind by regular questing are the Kirin Tor offensive on Thunder Isle and Operation Shieldwall in Karasatabg Wilds. Those are done by grinding daily quests.

All in all I’d say take it slow. MoP is a nice expansion with a lot to do if your a collector or interested in the lore.

Is that Kirin Tor rep same one as in Legion?

Thank you very much, Pandaria is my next destination. Love the lore and the zones.

Nah it’s a different one.

Have fun mate! Pandaria is an awesome place.
