Noticed that Oondasta and Galleon have a strict 10min respawn timer while Sha of Anger and Nalac are between 10 to 20mins. Is that a bug or weirdly intended?
I honestly hate the respawn time of Sha. Often what happens, waiting 11mins > going afk for 30sec or alt tab the game > BAMmissed the spawn and now i need to wait 10, 15, 20mins again… Extremely fun thing when farming the boss on ~20 characters.
Also alt tab is not an excuse. You camp the spawnpoint. At the ground. WIth sound activated. You have a couple seconds window where the sha is taking decreased dmg taken.
reminmds me of a bug i once saw… i had to go to an island and slay a few murlocks. but there was a bug on the respawn timer that day . I had a mate with me and instead of waiting a few minutes to respawn more and more kept respawning every two seconds after we killed one. Next thing the island was almost full of murlocks and were were caught in the middle fighting for our lives and the island looking like dawn of the dead but with Murlocks instead of zombies
Not a bug. Back in MoP Sha of Fear was supposed to be the easily accessible world boss, and Oondasta was supposed to be the harder to access boss. Sha of Fear therefore had a slightly random respawn timer in order to make it hard to predictably tag it, and Oondasta spawned very rarely.
Some time later Oondasta got a higher respawn rate (after MoP had ended) and Sha has never been changed.
Huolon (another MoP world boss) has like 1h spawn time, but (that’s a big and important “but”) he doesn’t have a weekly lockout on loot so you can kill him over 20 times a day on a single character.
I was very confused by this comment. Not only was Sha given a 15 min respawn timer, he was also given a static spawn point and a brief immunity to incoming damage to allow people the chance to get a tag on it. So changes were most certainly made to what it was like in MoP.
