The highest healer in SS in EU is currently on position 98. That means there’s up to 97 DPS above him. Oh, and he’s not even 2.4.

thats because of the mmr cap and how is mmr calculated rn
i dont like it either, nobody does i think
basically if u ever reach a point where ur mmr is = ur cr like going 3-3 two-three times while grinding to 1800 its over for u
u will never be able to break that point again, ur cr will always be equal to ur mmr even if u do a 6-0 6-0 6-0 6-0 streak
last season we were getting more mmr than cr, i believe it was 75 mmr/50cr per 5-1 and 150mmr/75cr per 6-0

Something like Shuffle was needed indeed but this mode is literally the worst possible implementation of a soloq. Should have just implemented a normal 3v3 queue instead of 6 super low quality games. The dds literally play with each other while healers have to 1v1 the other one. On top of that the game tries to avoid mirror matches, discouraging non meta classes even further from playing the game. Then there’s dampening, the longer the game lasts the less impactful a healer becomes. They could have also buffed healers damage but apparantly they prefer to just nerf the two good ones instead of buffing the others.
Might be a controversial take but the healer shortage is 100% Blizzards fault. Overwatch has like 2-3 min queues for dds despite the need of one healer per dps instead of one healer for 2 dds. There’s a healer shortage because playing the role makes you feel completely awful (at least in Shuffle, it’s fun if you play with friends imo).

Actually no, my start mmr this season was 1700 and while climbing I faced some really strong rank1 ss players and got 1 game 0-6 and lost like 80 or 100 mmr, but then eventually got my cr and mmr equal on 1650 and climbed up from there. For 4-2 I got 30 rating and mmr for 5-1 I got around 60. It was pretty fast I did it in first or second day of the season when mmr was most capped.
First you will believe in false gods and then you will feast on the tongues of liars - on yourself.
and what does this have to do with creating a gap between ur mmr and cr as it was possible in s1?
u’ve just proved that its impossible now lol
Last season if I went 4-2 on same mmr=cr , I gained same 40+ mmr and rating. And this the way you climb. But you lose this gap only when you reach your so far deserved mmr just like that was in the end of last season for me. Actually last season sometimes it was even unfair by gaining 12 rating for 4-2 or just out of nothing having 40 less mmr next game after 3-3. These gaps shouldnt be the only hope just go 4-2 / 3-3 mostly and rating will increase if this bugs dont happen.
dude u either high or trolling
i repeat myself - u cant get to the point of ur mmr being higher than cr now because of how the mmr works in s2
ure telling me that i need to win in order to reach my desired rating
ikr mate i do go 5-1 and 6-0 quite often as im playing as low as 2.1 rn because i havent pushed anything this season but i cant get my mmr higher than my cr even that way
u assumed every number that is missing from 3s and 2s is someone who is playing SS now, but ive skipped so many seasons where i never went into the arena, or i was never invited, or cba with the lfg/lfm
solo shu7ffle is the same, but faster, and with some rng component to it
personally id love for rated bg soloq, partecipation in SS is showing that RBG solo would work.

What are you on about? Rating in solo shuffle is harder to get compared to regular 3v3 where you can play with anyone pretty much and choose the comp and be on voice. In shuffle you not only play against players but RNG, it all depends on the classes you get in the lobby. You have no voice in solo so its harder to keep track of all stuff going on wihout other people telling what are they gonna do/cds they used etc. Also for rating gains you need 4-2 everytime. So its not like you get welfare rating if you go 0-6 like you think. Another thing, fast ramping dampening since start basicaly forces extreme agressive tempo play, so games are very fast paced. You cant realy chill in such game, its basicaly same as progressing boss on mythic. In normal arena i could chill while waiting for cds to be up, just play super lazy. Solo is the only option sadly atm and due to it highly competitive and Saying stuff rating there does not matter or is eazy is Illogical.
It wouldnt because each bg team would only have 1 rogue, 1 hunter, etc. Teams would need exactly the same classes in order to for games to be fair. Imagine one team has a rogue and hunter and other dosen’t. Imagine the leavers. Soloq rbg would make things worse.
…what.
So why exactly is solo the “only option”, is it because the other brackets are harder? Because that’s inherently saying the opposite of what you’re vouching for.
Harder? No they are easier under optimal circumstances, but nobody is playing them, Just compare 3v3 participation in SL to now, they are so heavily deflated that it is no point to even push in theese brackets, let alone fidning people now for 3v3, barely anyone playing it as solo shuffle you can access with one button. What do you think casualy PVP players choose? Yea solo shuffle obviously. Look at season 1 Glad was impossible to get pretty much and look how inflated was shuffle, that tells you all you need to know. Shuffle reduced participation in 3v3 to a point where it is impossible to obtain Glad unless you are blizzcon player or Multi R1 for years. Why not reduce Glad to 2,1k? It would revitalize the bracket massively.
But how do you know that the 97 dps is not more skilled than the healer in general.
Did you talk to them and they all agreed that the healer is more skilled than the 98th place?
“Nobody is playing them”. I guess that’s the reason why 2s and 3s basically have instapops, compared to rss, until you get to like 1.9k - and that’s minus primetime, when it’s always instapop. And for the record, the participation is basically halved, it’s not as bad as the numbers make it look, because you have to divide the number of played arenas in rss by 6. And the fact that there are optimal comps in old brackets is what makes it harder, not easier. And as far as the statistics go, it only underlines that.

This issue isn’t related to solo shuffle itself, but to the dampening attached to it.
I have plenty of games that end at 75% dampening.
At this point, neither I nor the only healer truly matter.
We’ve had an impact for the first few minutes of the game and allowed our team mates to live that far, but now, it’s all in their hands. We can’t do it anything.
Delete dampening and healers will matter more, which:
- will increase the average healer rating
- make healing less stressful and more rewarding, and therefore
- reduce queue times
make dot specs completely irrelevant
