So I can’t find anything about this, well, not any fixes anyway.
I’m having problems when grouping in dungeons. The problem being that my group members don’t make sounds. I can’t hear their attacks, or abilities or anything. All I can hear is myself and the mob I’m attacking.
I’ve tried every combination of options in the audio tab, I’ve tried changing bitrate, sound card, loudness EQ, drivers, installing and reinstalling everything and no dice.
It’s SO distracting and it makes doing things in a party the most lonely thing I’ve ever done in a multiplayer game. It really makes me not want to play the game at all.
Can anyone help me fix this?
I’m currently using a Audiobox USB96 with 24-bit/48000hz.
I’ve reported the problem and tried to contact Blizzard for assistance months ago but they never got back or acknowledged anything.
I don’t know. I can hear others on training dummies, but not so much in raids. Being melee in a big group was unbearable. There was so much auditory clutter I completely lost sense of what’s happening on my screen.
Maybe blizz reduced it for this reason, or maybe it was causing performance problems. I don’t know whether there’s a hidden setting for it but I’m immensely grateful I don’t have to hear a “whoosh, clang, yell” 20 times per second.
I get your point but I just wish there was an option. I’m pretty sure this is a newer thing then. I definitely remember hearing people in dungeons before
