So i’ve read around the internet but couldn’t find a solution anywhere.
I want to party sync with a level 12 character, but the party sync does not adjust my level. It doesn’t even offer the downscaling of level.
Anyone got any ideas what might be the problem?
Do either of you have a Chromie time quest active at all?
Active as in playing on the quest chain?
Yes… I was trying this with my characters and it kept phasing one out due to Chromie time
Does it mean i cant use Chromie time? this is very confusing
You can if you both take the same area quest at the same time at Chromie
If you are talking about regular zones that are 1-50 I don’t think your level will change because it scales for that range anyway.
But Chromie doesnt let me pick anything on this toon.
It says I’m needed in the present time, despite party sync.
Ah! sounds like you have the SL intro quest then or are on it… you need to abandon it or go through the story
Yes, thanks , I’ve managed to get chromie time now, but the game is trying to shove the Bolvar quest down my throat no matter how often I abandon it.
And the party sync doesn’t work for dungeons either.
I think party sync ends at 48 as you can do the current content then.

What’s the point of party sync then? This is really annoying and misleading.
They don’t want people using old content to get to max level I guess?
This is really bordering on harassment and coercion.
I’m really fed up right now.
Spending over an hour to try to make this work, only to find out they have some twitsted agenda behind this.
I thought you got kicked out of Chromie time once high enough for SL?
I’m guessing the 50 won’t get that much xp from it or?
BTW are you dual boxing?
I got my 3 Locks working within the rules so am very happy and busy again.
Wow, thanks for the help, it was really all about the Shadowlands quest that blocked the Chromie time.
I boosted the character and still wanted to do some Legion stuff/dungeon until level 50, but it didn’t let me.
So I thought of party sync. But it was really all about abandoning the Shadowlands quest and VERY quickly chosing a timeline at Chromie before the quest would reappear in the questlog and block Chromie time again.
And yes I was doing it with a linked starter account, too. Neither of the levels adjusted to each other. That’s what was confusing.
