if you think it is all blizzard’s fault that your connection is slow then why dont you stop playing?

Yeah, happening to me as well with the new update. Everything else on Steam or Origins downloads with normal speed but WoW goes in snail pace.

It’s Blizzards fault, because everyhing else works quite fine. The speedtest confirms a downstream of 900 Mbps. And as Rainbrew said: Other gaming platforms like Stream and Origin don’t have any problems patching their games.
I have the same issue. 347 MB and at 300MB after like 60 minutes, which is awkward as everything else downloads at 60+MB/s…

I’m having the same problem again today evening. Battle.net client required to patch 341 MB. 300MB have been downloaded within a second with a downstream of 5 MB/s. After that it took quite an hour at 40 KB/s for the last 40MB. What the hell is the server doing there?
wow, this is terrible slow. Having this problem also for the first time ever. Tried a speedtest while i was updating, 800mbps up and 120mbps down, so nothing seems to be wrong, except with the battlenet app, everything else runs smoothly

This worked for me just fine. After the 400mb package was done initializing
but still blizzard isnt the one to blame since they aint your ISP and you dont conneect directly to blizzard 
have you tried making a traceroute?
