Why the game takes forever to update 400mb???
The patch still initializing at like 1-3kb/s at most,watching it for an hour now,its just not ridiculous?
I have a good ,well maintained Pc no problem whats so ever.
I’m a returning player with like a 15 year old account,if not older,never seen such slow speeds,haven’t played since 2021,what the heck happened with pachting?
Can’t find any solution,just wait or what? Why nobody does anything?

Try hitting pause and then resume. My update was ridiculously slow for 5mins then it bounced back after doing the former.

I tried again,but it’s still slow,nothing changed,just that I lost the 2 hours waiting it to initialize,nice…blizz has some serious promlems I guess,
I really have to wait for a whole day to update 450mb? I just cant eat that.

I’m having the same issue, seriously their launcher is awful.

i guess there is no solution. İnitializing gets 20 - 22 mb then starts over.
i also have this problem and for me its stop at ~200mb

It’s not all of battle.net, either; I got a Call of Duty update, too, and it downloaded at 1 GB/s , while WoW is taking foreeeever.
Same here mate, WTF is this. I have 100 mpbs still can’t download this simple game … it seems it’s always a server problem since there is a lot of people downloading it …
Try using a VPN to download the patch. It solved the issue for me.

What is this slow update speed??
Getting slow update too. Don’t like it when I pay for 30 days, but get only 25. Thats like upping the price by 18% because of slow connections or servers.

Not sure if the vpn solved, but I had that issue too, I took the vpn advice, but I wasn’t even able to go online on bnet when the vpn was active, then I closed it, reopened a couple times, kept going slow, and all of a sudden on the last attempt it initialised 6 mb per sec (crazy fast compared to how it was before) and it managed to patch, before that I could log wow but not change realm, which is extremely important for someone with many toons on many realms (it said incompatible upon changing realm).
Edit: the problem occured again with this other small patch there is today, the other time I was in doubt but now I can confirm the vpn is the solution, I was getting an initialising speed of around 30-100 kb per second and after closing, opening vpn, setting my country and getting back in, it initialised in a few mins, didn’t even show the numbers for the initialising bar and then the download itself went fast like usual.

Can confirm. Wasted 1 hour with slow updating. Closed battle.net, opened VPN and switched to US region. Update finished in seconds.

Absolutely unacceptable. Missed raid because it takes 1 hour to download. Sometimes it’s hard to fathom that I actually pay for this game.

Why the hell it’s updating with 28 KB/s while I have an 600k connection.
have you tried contacting your ISP and ask them if they can see any problems on the connection?
