- Players wander into the Emerald Dream, guided by the Green dragonflight. There, they protect the Dream from an incursion by the Void, defeat Yogg-Saron’s remnant, and come face to face with an avatar of Elune. The Seed granted by the Winter Queen is infused with additional power.
- Mount Hyjal, Ashenvale, Darkshore, Felwood and Winterspring are updated and turned into the new Hyjal megazone.
- The World Tree, Nordrassil, is revamped and becomes a new sanctum for the Night Elves. It is anchored to both Ardenweald and the Emerald Dream, and is blessed anew by the restored Dragon Aspects.
- The Druids of the Horde may still access parts of Hyjal, including portals to the Emerald Dream and Dreamgrove. But only Night Elves and their allies may enter the tree itself.
- New Heritage armour sets for Night Elves and Trolls. (Vol’jin will continue his story in the patch.)
- The Undead will get to reclaim Lordaeron in a similar patch, but in the next expansion.

She will take Night Elf form. i doubt that they can make that to be interesting.
Nah night elves can reside in the ashes of their old tree.
I suspect we’ll enter the Emerald dream in an earlier patch, probably 10.2. I suspect it will end up being a Nazjatar style zone (but a brighter Ardenweald in style) or maybe even a Mega Dungeon rather than a full on big deal.
I doubt it will have the entire patch dedicated it and only it, because not everyone is into the hippy tree hugging stuff.
I suspect 10.3 will be about Infinite Dragons or the Void or something like that.

I think it makes sense. Nordrassil is the original World Tree and home of the Night Elves. It’s also the most important location in Night Elven society, and possibly all of Azeroth, therefore well worth protecting.
That said, I would also find it cool if they took up residece in trees and hills all around this updated Hyjal megazone I talked about. Make them go back to the wilds.
What I don’t think would make a lot of sense is creating an entire new tree out of thin air.
You are absolutely right. There is no discussion here that from a lore point of view, it makes the most sense, but…
You have built a beautiful wooden house. So it happened that it burned completely. In the future, if you were building another house, would you build an identical one again with the same material? Rather, we should learn from our mistakes. The Alliance will always have enemies in the Horde. More in one, less in another. But when there is still a threat, why not build something that will be more durable and resistant to potential attacks?
I think they will grow a new world tree wich serves as a zone in the huge open water space surrounded by islands in the plains zone. The zone has a connection with the green dragonflight and there is a huge unused area wich could be used to grow a new tree with the seed we got in the shadowlands

The Aspects blessed it, so they would come in defense of the Tree, as well as the Cenarion Circle and all the Alliance.
The Horde wouldn’t stand a chance.
Where were the dragon aspects when the legion and the scourge attacked mount hyjal?
Ysera was asleep, Malygos was a crazed hermit living in Northrend, Alextrasza was probably recovering after being enslaved in the Second War, and no one knows about Nozdormu.
See, they were slacking off and did not defend the tree they blessed. In fact not being able to protect anything seems the dragons their main theme
We don’t know how the story might turn out. Maybe the Horde can get some help too. I’m just guessing. It just doesn’t make sense to me to build another house out of the same material that burned down last time. It’s like asking to wipe out the Night Elf race completely if it doesn’t work the first time.
It won’t get burned down, that would be just stupid and uncreative writing.
Thoug, i wouldn’t mind getting Eldre’Thalas while we wait for the World Tree to be planted.

I don’t know. If they wanted to revamp an existing World Tree, why should they create a seed? If Nordrassil wasn’t anymore, I’d agree with you, but… it still stands.
My guess is that they will plant the seed next to Sargeras’ Sword in Silithus, so it will be embedded in the tree.
