Patch 8.1.5 Release Date - could we get a confirmation?

I know it’s probably quite a silly thing to ask, but…

During the live stream today it was said that “the Zandalari Trolls and Kul’tiran Humans will be available on the week of March 12th”.

I find it a bit odd that this statement and the subsequent confirmation on the US forums mention specifically the Allied Races and not the entire 8.1.5 or that we have been given a time frame instead of a specific date, so…

If any Blue would be so kind to confirm - is the weekly reset on March 12th (US) and 13th (EU) the official release date for patch 8.1.5 (including Zandalari Trolls and Kul’tiran Humans)?

Or are there some shenanigans going on where for instance the Allied Races will become playable earlier than the actual patch?

P.S. If you any of you think I’m getting a bit paranoid and would be willing to offer me some comfort - thank you! <3

It’s been confirmed.

In the stream they said the Allied Races come out 12th(13th for EU) and not the patch. You are correct.

But, they have to deliver the patch in order to make those races available. So that was pretty much a confirmation.

Uhm… It’s the blue post on the US forums that I was referring to - it’s a reply to a user asking specifically about the Allied Races, not about the patch as a whole and it still gives a timeframe instead of a specific date.

Thus, following what they’ve said in the livestream and your post - it’s possible that the Allied Races will come on March 17th (it’s the same week as March 12th, so it still counts) and without the rest of the 8.1.5 patch.

The only part of the patch that will come out later is WoD Timewalking or Rollercoaster for Darkmoon because they have specific dates in the calendar. Also raid probably will come out later because Ion talks it since Legion: Raid release doesn’t have to be tied to the patch release.

2 weeks after raid? Knew it. A good point though, they did say that they were coming in 8.1.5 so… unofficial confirmation I guess.

I see I have offended you by posting this thread - my sincerest apologies. I didn’t mean to cause any trouble or discomfort to other users.

I’ve thought it would be a good idea to ask my question in a separate thread instead of using one of the already existing ones, because it’s a rather specific question and to be honest, I wanted it to stand out a bit more to hopefully get a better answer.

Still, I don’t really see anything particularly wrong in me making this thread or how this could affect someone in a negative way. If you disagree, it’s fine - I respect your opinion, but I think I will stick with this thread unless a moderator decides to lock/delete it.

If it’s not okay with you… Once again, I’m sorry for disrupting your forum experience. I think the best way to handle this situation would be for you or anyone else who shares your opinion to just ignore this thread and move on. Thanks in advance! :slight_smile:

I’ve checked the other two threads and I don’t really see anyone asking the same thing… Did I miss something?

The difference is that the other threads are about the release date itself or the general cadence of content updates in Battle for Azeroth, my question is about the announcement itself seemed unclear.

In my eyes, it’s a fairly valid difference, but I’ll admit - perhaps I could have asked it in one of the other threads. I didn’t, because creating a new thread at the time just seemed the most appropriate, but… There’s nothing I can do about it now.

And… Am I being passive-aggressive? Well, it depends which definition you use (I’d love to discuss it with you, but then I will probably get accused of starting an unnecessary thread and allowing it to descend into massive offtopic :sweat_smile:, so my suggestion is that we can add each other on the Battle.tag and talk about it there, that is if you’re similarly interested).

Still, I didn’t mean to be passive-aggressive or sarcastic or clever or whatever (just like I didn’t mean to rhyme right now, lol :sweat_smile:). I’ve meant everything that I’ve said :slight_smile: I just wanted to be polite, that’s all.

So yeah, now we know the patch is coming somewhere between 11th and 17th March, most likely on the 13th. I guess I’m fine with that, so as it turns out, this thread is ultimately useless :slight_smile:

It’s a bad meme but essentially the weird smile afterwards indicates she doesn’t mean it. The person missread your apologies as fake, I’m unsure why as it’s obvious to me. You shouldn’t apologise though, it’s fine. Maybe you coulda used another thread, but you didn’t, oh well, people will get over it.

Edit: Also you aren’t paranoid but you are over apologetic. Don’t you dare apologise for that! Just feel calm. :blush:

Yeah, you got me - I have some anxiety issues, so on some days I worry way too much about pretty much everything, even silly things like posting on the forums :sweat_smile: Still, I like being nice to people, because - as weird as it might sound - it does come around, eventually :slight_smile:
