And was in game on day one(except wod), so you would work on it while requirements were fresh content.
This time around itâs just appearing out of nowhere with requirements what is/will be old content.
The aim with pathfinders in the past was just to gate the playerbase from being able to access flying for a set period of time. That is kind of pointless in a version where weâve had dragon riding from day 1.
Iâve never had motion sickness in any wow expansion with the exception of the rep/xp buff from DMF but I can look away from my screen while it clocks up. There isnât really a workaround in DF, I have had to take so many breaks just sat afk somewhere in the world while I wait for the nausea to subside.
Iâm glad so many are enjoying Dragon Riding and Iâm all for them bringing to the rest of Azeroth and beyond but just let us keep slow flap too. Treat both equally.
I honestly donât get why some feel so threatened by others being given slow flying. Itâs a total disadvantage over Dragon Riding.
Take the Secrets of Azeroth event. Everyone else complaining how slow it was to go back to the old mounts and I was thinking it was amazing that I could just travel around without wanting to throw up.
The requirements for the achievement are nothing. I looked this morning what I needed to do in preparation, and had everything already done. I just played the game.
I didnât play WoD. But I remember in BFA. In SL it was part of the questline of the new patch, but was unlocked once it was suitable and the content was complete. Just like it is now.
That is simply not true. Flying was enabled at that start of the S3, but achievement itself was in the game on day one. You could to see it, to track it, to work on it.
SL did away with it in Zerith Mortis as this was supposed to be the new design model, less by way of forced grinds. So it is not unreasonable to assume that DF might continue the SL model and simpy unlock flying by completing a quest chain in a later patch.
Also this expansion is designed around flying and flying was provided to everyone for free (no grinding, no timegating) on day of the expansion. So it is not unreasonable to expect the lesser form of flying to be similarly ungated (apart from waiting for the patch).
Then there is the issue of those who canât use Dragon riding being severely disadvantaged in these grinds.
Having 6 rep grinds is silly, unnecessary and will put many players off coming back. Itâs not good for anyone.
I have 5 of 6 already at Renown 15 so it will come down to what is required for Renown 15 with these Dream Wardens. If it involves Dragon Riding then Iâm stuffed or at least slowed down.
SL also only allowed flight in a few zones, one of which was not oribos, nor could you transit between the zones
I would argue that SL flying wasnât âtrue flyingâ for that reason
on the general arguement regardless of what I think of dragon flying vs normal flying its goofy to put it behind an achievement since regular flying is just an inferior dragon flying
